Well just to get it out of the way, for money I'm an accountant. That's how I like to view it, getting it out of the way. No major complaints but that's not what really gets me up in the morning. My real passion is for music, movies, television, books, etc. I love taking in as much as I can, particularly music. I worked at a record store for several years. Depending on your view of it I am a very avid collector or a crazy person (as in north of 3000 CDs/Records and always growing). I also enjoy going to rock and roll shows on the weekends (with the job I can't really anymore on weekdays).
Have been known to enjoy nerdy stuff like video games and board games.
Beyond that I enjoy the normal things such as sports and spending some time outside. I am a bit of Twins diehard even though they aren't giving us much to be enthusiastic about. I try to spend a fair amount of time outside and make a point to exercise just about every day.
Also I can be a bit of a news and politics junky. And just to get it out there, I am pretty liberal. I am open minded but very passionate about my beliefs. If you're conservative we may not get along so well...
I always try to be proactive to get things done. I take good care of my home and keep my life pretty organized.
Comedic conceitedness aside, probably my thoughtful nature. I am a good listener and don't feel I need to constantly be talking. I feel no need to dominate conversations and or to hear my voice just for the sake of it (although I like to think it is a pleasing voice).
Books: Kurt Vonnegut books, Cormac Maccarthy books, John Hodgeman books, America The Book by Jon Stewart and the Daily Show Staff, The Maltese Falcon. I'm currently working on the Song of Fire and Ice series.
Movies: The Big Lebowski, The Lord of the Rings (I did mention that I'm a bit of a nerd), Hud, No Country for Old Men, The Assassination of Jesse James by The Coward Robert Ford, Mean Streets, many more
Television Currently Running: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Parks & Recreation, Community, The Walking Dead, Louie, Mad Men, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report
Television All Time: Simpsons (certain seasons), Arrested Development, Deadwood, Band of Brothers, King of The Hill, The Wire
Music: Oh my god so many and always changing ... just to highlight a few all time favorites that have stuck with me for many years: New Order, Depeche Mode, Wu-Tang Clan, Crooked Fingers, Sam Cooke ... oh man I hate picking favorites ... I really love just about all types of music: blues, country, rock, hip hop, soul (generally I'm not terribly interested in Reggae or Metal) and have many favorites from basically all genres (I'd throw in here that I don't know as much as I would like to about jazz).
Food: I'm not too picky and will eat most any kind of food. I do love typical dude food such as burgers, burritos, pizza. I do make a point to eat fairly healthy.
My Health - I don't take this for granted and do actively keep myself healthy.
Music - "If music be the food of love, play on" - The Twelfth Night by Shakespeare. I believe that Shakespeare nerds may point out that in context this quote is more complicated. But it is commonly quoted and it does sound nice.
Cable Television - I love to watch the Twins as well as quality television shows (which seem to be almost exclusively on cable these days).
The news - I love to know what's going on in the world.
