My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello! I'm Alyssa. I'm a 30 year old female living in St. Paul. I work with people and absolutely love my job. I'm super close to my family and friends. I am independent, have tons of energy, am willing to try anything once, and always keep my mind focused on the positive. I love living in the city - there is always something fun to get into! I have a master's degree, own my house, have an awesome job, great people in my life, and am smart and hilarious. I pretty much have it all together, but I am still looking for that man to share this great life with! Where is he???

I spent the last 3 years in grad school and am ready to get back into dating. I am very motivated and driven to have a successful career, and also to enjoy life to the fullest. I don't want to look back at my life and have regrets. I strongly believe in having a balance between career and recreation. I am always reminding myself to be calm, carefree, relaxed, and confident. I try not to sweat the small stuff. Life is too short to not to enjoy every minute!

I am attracted to someone with ambition and passion for life and his future. I want a partner who can keep up with me on all of my adventures and keep me on my toes. I want you to be able to keep me interested, go head to head with me, but also have a sensitive side and always be a gentleman. If you can make me laugh then you have a GREAT start. I know, it's a tall order, but it's worth waiting for the right person, don't you think?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In May I graduated with my Master's degree in Social Work. I work full time as a social worker in health care, and I am so lucky that I actually LOVE my job. Now I am focusing on my personal life. I am filling my time with new and fun experiences, and spending time with awesome people. Currently I'm working on running more, which is a love/hate experience...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Parallel parking. Charming your mother. Being the best aunt ever. Keeping my word. Sleeping in as late as possible. Finding joy in everyday life.
The first things people usually notice about me

My adorable curves. I can rock a pair of jeans like no other.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies: Any comedy. Also, chick flicks because they're amazing.

Books: Love them & wish I had more time to read for pleasure! I have a collection of favorites that I will never get rid of. Last book was Gone Girl.

Food: Indian. Thai. Italian. Sushi. Any and all new restaurants. Fancy restaurants. Hole in the wall restaurants. Non-chain restaurants. Homemade meals. Local craft beer. Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio. Not gonna lie, cooking is not my favorite activity, so if you like cooking for others and/or trying new restaurants, you are already awesome.

Music: lots! Am obsessed with spotify, pandora, hipster tunes on The Current, and Beyonce. She runs the world.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This is a difficult question! I realize it makes me sound materialistic, which I haaaaate... I actually try to live minimally so I can focus on experiences rather than filling my house with things. I'll be completely honest and tell you the first 6 things that come to my mind:
1. Food
2. Water
3. My iPhone
4. My family
5. My friends
6. Mascara
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What to eat for dinner, how I should redecorate my house, and what to watch on Netflix!? How to enjoy every minute of life. Social justice issues locally and globally. My future goals, dreams, hopes, wishes, travel plans... My day dreaming often turns into grand plans, like the time I moved to London alone with no job or place to live... I ended up staying there for a year and had the time of my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Some Friday nights I love vegging out with takeout for dinner, wine, and a good movie. I always love meeting friends for dinner or a late happy hour. I like going out places where we can sit and hear each other while having a conversation. I have moved on from the bar scene and am not interested in drinking all night. I do enjoy going out for a wild night once in a while though, don't get me wrong!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Shouldn't I be wined & dined before spilling secrets??

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should message me if you want to see if there is a spark...

Also, message me if you are on this website to find a relationship. I'm not interested in emailing for days if it's not going to go anywhere. Flirting is fun and all, but how much can we talk about without meeting? I don't play games, I am very honest (blunt?) and know what I want. If this doesn't scare you away, then send me a message! :)

A few things that spark my interest...
You are not afraid to be a gentleman!
You are funny - huge turn on...
You have future goals & make it a priority to always better yourself...
Keeping a healthy lifestyle is important to you...
You aren't afraid of a strong, opinionated, independent woman.
You are able to spell and use grammar correctly. Seriously.
