My self-summary
I have started and deleted this paragraph many times already. If I were to start with my dislikes, I would say I definitely dislike writing about myself. I guess that throws a real wrench in my plans to write a memoir. I like things and people who make me think. I enjoy reading. I love a good movie, especially of the indie variety. I think comedy is the hardest genre to write. I appreciate art, and I strive to create it in my work and hobbies. However, I sometimes struggle to motivate myself.

I am reserved, creative, and introspective
What I’m doing with my life
I recently moved from a big city to a small town. I work from home, so I don't get a lot of social interaction. I'm looking to expand my circle of friends.
I’m really good at
respecting other people, listening, conversing, showing an interest, over analyzing
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: anything by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (most notably Love in the Time of Cholera), The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan, Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, Never Let Me Go and The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro. The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera. The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie. The Earthsea Cycle by Ursula K. LeGuin. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. That's just the tip of a very large iceberg.

Movies: Adaptation, Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Chicago, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Remains of the Day, Little Miss Sunshine, Pan's Labyrinth, Gosford Park, The Artist, I could go on and on

Music: a little bit of everything
On a typical Friday night I am
generally watching a movie... usually a DVD
