My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
*As an "update" - I don't like to sit on a computer or my phone for long periods on end, so I very rarely check this site. That doesn't mean I'm not interested in YOU, just trying to motivate myself to check back here more often to reply!

I guess in a nutshell, I am a super loyal person who is really happy with my life currently. I am kind of busy, but would love to have someone to hang out with when I have some spare time. To be completely upfront, I think the reason that I don't do well meeting guys in bars is I am sarcastic to a fault and people find that to be "bitchy" when they first meet me. So I need to meet the person that finds me funny and can get over it. I've also been told on more than one occasion that I am the "guy in the relationship". So if you're looking for a clingy girl, you're not looking for me.
I love trying to be a wine and food snob, even though I probably don't succeed as much as I think I do. I'm on a new mission to try all the spicy places in Chicago.
Any day I would rather be at a sporting event...Cubs, Hawks, Bears, I'm always game!
Music is a huge part of my life, and I would love someone who shares that passion.

I am looking for someone who is looking for something long term, because I think we are getting to that age that we've been there done that with the playing games. I also have tried dating people who live outside Chicago, and find it super difficult, so I would prefer that you live in Chicago proper. I haven't had too many long term relationships, so when I find someone I do not get annoyed with after a couple months, I know they are a keeper! I do have a cat, and he's not going anywhere for awhile, so whoever I am with has to like him and not be allergic! I've had him for about 5 years, since I started living alone, and he's the reason I stay sane at night...I watch way too much SVU and Criminal Minds so I always think someone is trying to break in.

K enough of the "I wants", if you liked anything you saw, send me a message!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a nurse at a local hospital. LOVE IT every day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being awesome in general, I'd like to think. But in all seriousness, I'm pretty good at being a people person. I can talk to anyone, and most people seem to like me. Oh and I'm good at grammar. Grammatical or spelling mistakes drive me nuts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told I have a good laugh...and I assume that also translates to loud, since people say they usually hear me before they see me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite book: Harry Potter series and my new favorite Hunger Games! (call me dorky I don't care)
Movie: Way too hard to narrow down. Probably Home Alone if I had to pick
Shows: Always Sunny, SOA, South Park
Music: EVERYTHING! I love everything from rap to country. I cried a little bit the day Q101 went off the air. I love all live music, and I need a partner to go to concerts with me. Marilyn Manson is on my bucket list of concerts to go to
Food: I would say my favorite is pizza. I recently have gone semi vegetarian, but will still eat the occasional seafood or meat when I'm in the mood.

What I can for sure live without: Lifetime movies, goat cheese, Katy Perry, most Pearl Jam songs, regular coke, people who can't drive, dusting my house, when people shorten words (like obvi, for obviously...and yes people do this), scotch, wire hangers...I could also go on forever!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family (including my cat Charlie)
My friends
My iPhone
Tempurpedic pillows
Diet coke
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future. Oh and why girls suddenly think it's ok to wear slippers in public in lieu of actual shoes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably at happy hour with friends, usually at a sports bar or the like. If not that, I'm home catching up on DVR because I'm TIRED on Friday nights!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If it's private, then why the hell would I share it with a bunch of strangers?? Oh and in the spirit, I swear kind of a lot, so if that bothers you, we probably won't mesh well.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're actually reading this!
You are funny and think we would get along. I am easy to get along with and don't put too much into "types" that I like, but I do have a few deal breakers.

Here is the brutal honesty that a lot of people mistake for bitchyness...
You should NOT message me if:
- You don't know the difference between your and you're or any other type of proper grammar. It will drive me nuts.
- You have jacked up teeth.
- You don't actually have any friends and are looking for a social circle to hang out with (sadly happens more often than I'd like to admit).

These are the only three that I can think of. If these do not apply to you then message away, I'd love to hear from you!
