Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I dropped 72 pounds last year which has been quite a journey.
Feeling (and looking) like my old self and so healthy inside and
So many facets, so many shades, so many layers. I've a multitude of
interests and desires. I'm extremely curious about all things. If
I've never tried it chances are I'm willing to just to see. I'm a
vegetarian, artist, adventurer, traveler, child and old soul. A
lover of art, languages, music, passion, astrology, literature,
sci-fi, comics, meditation, yoga, and generally being active
physically and mentally. I've a passion for history, especially
American (at one point I thought I'd become a history teacher) but
lately have developed an interest for eastern countries history as
well. I'm can be serious, snarky, a real smart ass yet still
sincere and some who first meet me find me terribly serious at time
which again cracks me up. I quote lines from tv shows and movies
that people often have never heard or have no clue what I'm talking
about. I like old tv theme songs and detest modern commercials but
love some from the 70's and 80's (anyone ever see David Naughton
from American Werewolf In London doing the Dr. Pepper commercial?)
People often think I'm at least 10 years older than I am with the
references I make and have always gotten along well with people
older than me even when I was little.
9 years ago I moved to Seattle from DC with my cat, a suitcase, $11
and a set of crutches after feeling a deep need inside to come
here. It's been an amazing journey to come to this peaceful place
in which I know reside physically and spiritually. I've gone
through many shifts since moving here. Back in DC I loved going out
to bars, dancing and partying. Here I find myself more interested
in spending time with people one on one, having conversations,
sharing a good meal, watching a movie, going for a walk or to a
I've always wanted to go to Europe and know I shall one day soon. I
feel much more European in terms of my outlook and desired
lifestyle. I've always felt very drawn to Europe (the UK and Spain
especially) and always connected well with Europeans. I love
talking to people who aren't from this country for they have a
different perspective which I'm always interested in experiencing.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just sold my first home and upgraded to a bigger place in North
Seattle which I'm loving! By day (and sometimes night) I'm an
agent, running one of the bigger talent agencies here in town. By
night (and sometimes day) I stage manage theatre and events and
also work help run a theatre. I've had a plethora of jobs/careers
in my short life including massage therapist, modeling and
I've always felt an unquenchable thirst for knowledge which has led
to me spending a lot of my time educating myself on things I don't
know and refreshing knowledge of things past and/or just cracking
out on Wikipedia:-) In addition I have a small group of friends
scattered all over who are beyond family for me which I spend a lot
of time keeping in touch with and sharing this magical journey.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making random 70's-90's TV references that leave others stone faced
and the crickets chirping unless I'm around someone extra cool or
older than me.
Listening. From the time I was small people have told me I should
be a therapist because of how well I listen and do not judge people
harshly, rather let them be themselves.
Writing. I've been published overseas and in the states as well. I
Love playing with language and exploring nuances behind it all. I'm
constantly asking questions about the universe around me but also
fascinated by why people say what they say when they do. I sound
pretty anal and analytical which I am at times and others I'm very
laid back and go with the flow. I'm also pretty good at working
under pressure which helps me in my job and probably comes from my
somewhat colorful/interesting upbringing. People also say I'm funny
too. The day I met one of my best friends he told me he almost
never laughs out loud. Almost seven years later I've never heard
someone laugh so much. Some of my friends say my family stories and
the way I relay them remind them of David Sedaris. Who knows.....I
crack myself up but not because I think I'm funny of that makes any
sense. I'm also REALLY good at multi tasking and take it to new
levels in each of my jobs every day surprising myself more and
more. I also find I'm good at taking care of people for it truly is
people who are one of my passions in the long run.
Then there's astrology but that's another conversation:-)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes. I've got the Scorpio intense gaze (I can out stare my
cat). Maybe my smile if I am. I had braces twice so I refer to it
as my $3000 smile. A lot of people who meet me tell me I intimidate
them as well which is funny to me. I also get a lot of, "nice
nose...I love your nose" comments which depending on whose saying
it and how I don't know what to make of it. We all like what we
like I suppose and find beauty and joy in a multitude of places.

I gave up wheat and dairy and am feeling great so most of the below
may need a slight modification eventually.:)
Vegetarian/Vegan food; Vegan brownies; raw nuts; Indian and Thai
food in general; sushi. American is usually at the bottom of my
list but every now and then I like a veggie burger and fries or
some sweet potatoes (it's the southerner in me). I'm usually
craving savory first but still love the sweet.
I'm watching a lot of documentaries lately, particularly on
American history. I discovered this French director whose films are
quirky sometimes but I enjoy a lot.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
2. Human Interaction
3. Connections with Good Friends/People
5. Play & Fun
6. My Cat Isys
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the world around me, language, geography, places I want to see,
past and future adventures. Random questions about how all the
mundane things we take for granted came to be and operate the way
they do in the last 100 years. I also think about where I've been
and where I'm going, wondering how I'll get there, and enjoying the
peaceful place my life is in right now.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Running or watching a show. Afterwards I tend to come home read
and/or watch a dvd and/or Netflix before bed. I'm starting to enjoy
more evenings off spent with friends rather than working or in the
comforts of home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Though I'm told I'm a workaholic and/or this profile may sound like
(to quote Dorothy from GG) "a mini pad commercial" I'm actually
quite lazy and love just laying around having a movie or Netflix
marathon in my free time.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're passionate about life and the world around you, cool, fun,
quirky, have drive, ambition and love good conversation, good
company, and good food. I love connecting with people who are
creative, in touch with themselves and dripping with sensuality
doesn't hurt either. I'm very drawn to those who are multifaceted,
bold, seek to improve themselves and the world around them and who
have conversations that have meaning. I'm interested in talking,
dating, and a relationship when it's right. It's all about the give
and take (there must be both in my world). I Love knowing more
about others, thereby understanding more in ourselves.
Oh and if you love Sci-Fi (especially Star Trek) and
cartoons/comics you should definitely message me:)
