The problem with this is it varies and I don't intend to update
books: lately anything dystopian, satires focused on societal
powers, speculative or historical fiction, alternate takes on
movies: any iteration of Batman, most 007 films, Vertigo, Coming to
America, 300 indie films I can't remember the names of even though
I could probably re-shoot them...except I don't know the first
thing about directing
shows: will plead the 5th at this time...
music - all over the place: Jay Z (all time fave), Motown, Beatles,
Wu Tang, OutKast, JBs, old west coast g-rap, Bob Marley, Eminem in
smaller doses, Stones, Miles Davis, big band era stuff, some EDM,
early Punk, early New Wave, EWF, Frank Ocean, whoever is on the
sat. radio "Garage Rock" channel, Kanye, Bey, etc.
Looking at this non-exhaustive list, I would say I'm into artists
that strike a nice balance between edgy/innovative/technical and
catchy/accessible/relatable. Hmmm, that balance describes me well
so it make sense.
