My self-summary
I like to laugh and have fun. I enjoy being happy and entertained.

I hate running out of incredibly vague answers that could apply to anybody:(

I'm a bit of a smartass. I tend to use a lot of sarcasm. I swear more than I should.
I'm an avid reader, a head-in-the-clouds sort of person, and a complete hopeless romantic. I get attached to people easily, but not often. I live in my head more than most people I know.
I'm generally shy and rather socially awkward.
I'm honest to a fault but I try hard to have tact. I like to think I'm open minded but I'm also ridiculously stubborn. I'm loyal and over protective with the people I care about.
I'm always looking for adventures. I'm crazy about traveling. I love live performances; plays, musicals, ballet, concerts, etc.
I'm the kind of dork that dresses up for the Renaissance Festival and supports the local Quidditch team. I play Magic. (Edit: I'm not saying I'm any good at it!)
I'm a night owl.
I love animals, wildlife, and nature. I hike and camp.
I despise driving but love road trips.
I'm also completely addicted to facebook:(
What I’m doing with my life
Honestly? I'm kind of just aimlessly wandering through it.

I'm trying to see the world and experience all that life has to offer. It's harder to do than one would anticipate:p
I’m really good at
My job actually. Which isn't saying a lot really. I'm a working to live person, not living to work. But when I need to, I'm pretty good at applying myself.
I'm good at reading. Can that be a skill?
I excel at sleeping. Really, I would kick ass at a sleeping contest!
The first things people usually notice about me
People notice that I'm shy.
Or they think they've noticed that I don't like them or have an attitude or something, because they're misinterpreting that I'm shy.

Either way, I'm a little socially inept. You've been warned.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I tend to enjoy anything written by Roger Zelazny or Tanith Lee (except perhaps her children's books, but to be fair, I haven't tried them). I like Steven King, but not all of his stuff holds my attention. I read mainly fiction of the fantasy and/or sci-fi variety. I get very, very sucked into books. People who don't puzzle me.
If I were forced to throw out a "favorite" I would give you two, the Amber series and A Silver Metal Lover. Though...I suppose that could change depending on the day you're asking.

I can watch most movies, pretty much any genre, but I don't particularly care for subtitles or old black and white movies (which give me a weird headache). I think horror movies are fun but I tend to prefer more werewolves and zombies to serial killers and psychopaths. I also favor movies that make you think over movies that make you laugh at how stupid someone is.
Love: The Saint, The Salton Sea, The Last Unicorn, and An American Werewolf in Paris.

I believe that Game of Thrones may be the best tv show I've ever seen. I'm also really enjoying The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, New Girl, Revenge, and The Mindy Project. I watch reruns mostly of The Big Bang Theory, but I really love it.
Clearly I spend to much time watching tv...

I listen to all the popular current music at work. When you hear something 50 times you tend to learn it, and I even like some of it. But when I'm choosing the music I listen to older stuff: Aerosmith, Kiss, AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benetar, Heart, etc. Newer bands that I genuinely enjoy are Incubus, Metric, Muse, Frou Frou, The Dresden Dolls and Gavin Rosedale. That probably gives you a good idea:p

I like to think of myself as an adventurous eater. I get a kick out of trying new foods. There isn't much that I wont eat, or at least try. But I'm a sucker for a good steak:)
The six things I could never do without
Vacations, sex, quality chocolate every now and then, social interaction, time to myself, and good things to read.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What this damned profile should say. To much time actually.
Which is probably why it looks as though I've written a novel....

Also, I think a lot about where I'm going next. I plan trips all the time that I probably wont ever really have the money to take. I over analyze the shit that the people around me say and do. I daydream A LOT.
On a typical Friday night I am
Typically, I'm working. Which is a looooong shift.
I get maybe one Friday off a month, and then sadly I spend them lamely in front of the tv or computer (occasionally reading a good book).

I need to get out more:p
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
People who scroll down to this little box are usually looking for something sexual in nature, so here ya go;
I'm very much into the bdsm thing and I have a high appreciation for the female form:)

Also, eating sushi embarrasses me. I feel like I look like a blow fish while trying to chew. That shit is not bite-sized and it's impossible to cut in half!
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 27–37
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You want to...

*** This seems worth mentioning, but as I'm weirdly getting close to being 30 years old (yeah, it feels weird to me:p), it has occurred to me that "dating around" no longer holds the appeal it once did. At the very least I'm actively looking for someone to spend my life with, and if you know that that isn't what your looking for I would prefer we don't waste each others time. At some point in the not super distant future I think I may want to "settle down and start a family" and if that's a major turn off...well, it's best to have that out in the open up front.
