Sitting still can be difficult for me and I am often found seeking out live music, climbing/bouldering, snowboarding or planning my next adventure. Lately these adventures have focused on adding pleasure days onto my work trips - Beijing, Geneva, Lima, Jamaica, Tahoe, Boulder, DC and Rwanda!
I work hard and love what I do, but a work/play balance (tilted towards play) is very important to me. I strive to make the most of any situation, have a ton of fun and laugh, and travel as much as possible. However, I am equally content hanging out along the river or at a BBQ with good company on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
I moved to Portland last year after 4 years in DC. I run the environmental markets program for an international non-profit and it's a sweet gig. The best part was that I negotiated a month off to play in CO and UT -hiking 14K ft mountains, white water kayaking, mnt biking, climbing, hot springs, camping...
I would describe myself as laid back, smart, hard working, and passionate. I know when to be serious, but believe it's a good idea to bring humor to most situations. I am looking for someone who loves to be outside, is willing to try new things, and will push me to explore what is important to them.
I have been very fortunate, though I have worked hard to set myself up for success and create my own luck, to have lived all over the last decade - Australia, Botswana, Northern CA, New Haven, India, DC and now Portland. I have not been here very long, but loving it so far.
I am still developing my network and am up for meeting awesome people. However, I would say that I am looking for something long-term, but won't force it or settle. I love my life, just need my partner in crime to make it even funnner. Yup, 3 n's!
