I'm a pretty low key guy. I am a nerd at heart, but I am far from the stereotype. Just because you like board games and video games doesn't mean you can't enjoy nature and being outside too!

Career wise, I do HIV/AIDS prevention education, testing, and counseling at a local non profit. It's a big part of my life, and it's a great feeling knowing that each day I can do something good for the world. (Side note - I'm not HIV positive. It's just a cause I really believe in)

With all these categories, as long as its good, I enjoy it. A thrilling book, an enthralling movie, a great song, and good food knows no genre, type, or classification. With that being said:

Books:

1984, Brave New World, Dune, Neverwhere, Stardust, American Gods, Foundation, Name of the Wind, The Lies of Locke Lamora, Good Omens, F451, +an absurd number of non-fiction books on a number of topics.

Movies:

Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Gladiator, The Fifth Element, The Matrix, Captain Ron, Star Wars, Super Troopers, Inception, V for Vendetta, Drop Dead Fred, Donnie Darko, Run Lola Run, Cube, Lord of the Rings, +so so many more.

Music

Jack Johnson, Smashing Pumpkins, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Flogging Molly, Metallica, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Daft Punk, Gotan Project...though honestly anymore I just choose a station on Pandora and roll with it.

Food:

I'll eat almost anything of quality. There is nothing like authentic ethnic food. I try to eat healthy though, the less processed a meal is, the better.

Shows:

Dexter, Rome, The West Wing, Deadwood, The Wire, Stargate SG-1, TNG/DS9, Game of Thrones, True Blood, Farscape, Lost, Shameless, Top Chef, Supernatural, Newsroom, Top Gear, and basically any documentary on anything.

1 - Learning. I love to learn and expand my knowledge.
2 - Adventure. Getting lost, getting into trouble, setting out with no destination in mind, traveling and exploring make me happy. Send me on a walkabout, and I'll be happy.
3 - My Motorcycle - It's a sense of freedom you just can't get in any other form of travel.
4 - The Internet. Yay for Wikipedia!
5 - Free will. It's kind of a big deal.
6 - Random chance. Call it what you will, chaos, luck, fortune, or just chance, I just rather enjoy those "it's a small world" moments, or when you just happen to stumble upon something really cool by happenstance.

Mostly about the future. Be it what I'm going to do over the next couple of days, or months. Usually that means I get to make a list. I do love checking things off a list.

In all honesty, there's a 50/50 chance I'll either be out on the town or just hanging out with friends and watching a movie, playing a game, or something equally random.

- I like the majority of the movies Nic Cage has done. The reasons for enjoyment differs (truly good movies like Lord of War or absurd guilty pleasures like Con Air).
