My self-summary
I am a perpetual-student (I love learning and don't really ever plan to stop), and a father of one adorable daughter. I'm into a lot of geek things (computers, gaming, comics, etc), but can generally hold my own in the great outdoors as well (the Uintah Mountain Range in NE Utah is among my favorite places in the world). I grew up in the sticks, but turns out I'm a city boy.

I am said to be brilliant, thoughtful, and conflicted
What I’m doing with my life
I'm taking some really incredible classes in preparation for graduate work in some sort of human biology. I'm a fan of anatomy, sociology, and anthropology so finding a place where I can acquire a decent mix will be the trick. Needless to say, it will probably take me away from my home for a few years.
I’m really good at
Computer related things started as a hobby that became a way to make a living. I can generally figure them out given a little time.

I'm also an incredible listener. Need a friend you can bounce ideas/problems in your life off of without feeling embarassed, judged, or like you're getting bogus advice? It's one of my specialties.
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically? Perhaps the dimples.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love The Stand by Stephen King, Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco and Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk and all three had profound effects on my life.

Movies would have to include: American Beauty, Braveheart, Fight Club, American Psycho, The Goonies, and I guess I better throw a bone to my old love of Star Wars (eps IV-VI of course)

My musical taste is incredibly varied. I can swing from the Ramones, NOFX, and Rancid to Indigo Girls, John Gorka and Richard Shindell with ease and visit any number of genres and styles along the way.

Food... hmm. Thai (sawadee), japanese (koko's kitchen), and good home cookin' be it from family, friends, or myself.
The six things I could never do without
Music in general. I tried to go without it for a while... it was generally a catastrophic venture.

A good book, be it deep and provoking, or light and entertaining.

Problems to solve.

People to understand and/or be perplexed by.

Chances to learn.

Satire, sarcasm, and playful bullshit.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
People in my life, their interactions with myself and each other.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with one group of friends or another. Clubs, concerts, movies, drinking, dinner, you name it. Or a calm evening at home reading to and playing with my little girl.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm actually a little nervous about the upcoming uncertainty in my life. I'm coming up to a threshold and it's hard to be sure about what is waiting on the other side.
You should message me if're interested in talking with someone you can have an intelligent conversation with. Or if you feel like geeking out with somebody who can match you pace for pace. Or if you don't quite think chivalry is dead and would like to talk a kindred spirit.
