My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an explorer by nature; nothing makes me happier than going someplace I've never been before. It doesn't have to be anyplace exotic; there are fascinating things in American cities of all sizes, and I'm much more interested in civilization than in wilderness (not that I don't enjoy a good hike in the woods once in a while)! My dream is to see every major city (and as many of the minor ones as possible) and visit their museums, ballparks, brewpubs, coffee houses, bike trails, drive-ins, downtowns, landmarks...and do it in the company of someone who's enjoying it as much as I am. (It doesn't take me long to get wrapped up in my traveling companion's interests too; that makes the journey twice as much fun!)

I think just about everything else important is covered in the sections below, but if you've got any questions please don't hesitate to contact me!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Photography, graphic design, DJing...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Graphic design; photography; listening; driving safely; making (most) people laugh; making mix CDs; bowling; commercial archaeology (yes, there is such a thing!)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
They never tell me! Does "I like your shirt" count?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
BOOKS: Most of what I read is non-fiction--primarily about music, film, architecture, and pop culture in general. I subscribe to Smithsonian, Spin, and Preservation, if that tells you anything.

MOVIES: I'll watch anything that isn't too gory, stupid, or Victorian...but even a bad movie at least gives you something to talk about later! By the way, do you know what the last line of "Pulp Fiction" would be if the scenes were rearranged into chronological order? (This is not a necessity for compatibility; just an opportunity to show off.)

MUSIC: Some of my all-time favorites include the Black Keys, Pretenders, Thelonious Monk, Old 97s, the Replacements, Prefab Sprout, Bettie Serveert, Scrawl, the Rolling Stones, the Waitresses, Ryan Adams, the Dandy Warhols, Bruce Springsteen, the Cure...maybe it would just be easier to say I like everything to some extent except Katy Perry and Rage Against the Machine (whose name makes the best anagram ever: "Gee, anthemic trash again").

FOOD: Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, Mexican, burgers, bbq, a big-ass caesar salad, Skittles, chili without beans, Breyers mint chocolate chip ice cream, and movie-theater popcorn...especially when the clerk is cool enough to put an extra squirt of "butter" in the middle of the bag before putting the rest of the popcorn in.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends, my camera, road trips, good music, Photoshop, and new restaurants to try.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
where I'm going to travel next!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
(whispers) i am on a dating site
