My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a pretty healthy, happy and balanced guy (except for working a bit too much), and I like doing a lot of different things. I'm always up for trying something new.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working at a job that makes a positive difference in people's lives. And I'm still enjoying the newness of Vancouver and getting to know different parts of the city. I'd like to do some hiking in the surrounding areas.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Keeping things fresh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I worked in bookstores for 10 years when I was in school, but now it's rare to find me with a book; I just I read the New Yorker every week.

The last couple of books that I really liked were The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz, and Drunk Mom by Jowita Bydlowska. And I still really like books by Georges Bataille, Jacques Lacan, Slavoj Zizek, Paul Auster and Haruki Murakami.

I like going to restaurants, but I also love to cook. I went to Buenos Aires a couple of years ago and have been trying to make steak that good since, but it's like it's a different food group there. I find since moving to Vancouver a lot of the food I make has changed.

I also like art shows. I saw The Clock in Toronto, which was really cool, and just saw an exhibit at the Saatchi Gallery in London which I liked a lot too. But the dinosaur exhibit at the Natural History may have been the best. I'm a big independent film fan too. I really liked Monsieur Lazhar, A Prophet, Drive and Incendies.

Music: the Stooges, the Ramones, the Birthday Party, Glenn Gould, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Deerhoof, Xiu Xiu and Stromae. But mostly just Rdio.

TV: The Wire, Archer, The Americans, Boardwalk Empire.
