I'm a Christian. I go to church every Sunday and this is a major part of who I am. When I was a kid I thought there were only two types of people in the world, Christians and Jews. I remember when I was six I asked my crush at the time which one she was. The tiny blonde from the maritimes deducted, based on my understanding of religion, that since she didn't go to church, she must be Jewish. Fortunately my knowledge of theology has evolved since then.
I love to make people laugh. To diffuse an awkward situation, to deal with tragedy or just because everyone loves to smile, there's nothing more I enjoy in conversation than telling a good joke. It's important to me that my SO get my sense of humour, otherwise it will be a lifetime of comments with deadpan response.
I think we overplay the importance of commonality. Other than the core elements (faith, similar vision for life...etc), two people either connect in an ineffable way, or they don't.
So I'll leave you with some quick facts about me, and if anything strikes your fancy feel free to send me a note.
- Born in the Maritimes
- First said "I love you" at the age of six (see girl from above, she did not reciprocate)
- I started a business when I was 6, I started my first real business when I was 18
- I practice law, which is somewhat like Suits, and I do bike around the city (in the summer)
