I have a PhD in horribleness

I'm doing research (post-doctorate) in computer science.

The last few months I tried to get more involved in politics, and joined the french Pirate Party, but found it disappointing.

It has been said that I am a good teacher. I hope that's true, but I'm afraid it might be that I'm more fun and friendly than other teachers, not that I am better at actually teaching things.

Also, I'm good at preparing macerated fruit alcohols. You should try my Saharan Rum.

Food: anything, especially spicy chinese food. I like chicken or fish-based meals, but I'm mostly vegetarian, so it's a rare treat. My favorite food of all time would be fried onions with mayonnaise, on a slice of bread.

Apart from the obvious (food, water, air...), there are few things that are absolutely necessary. Books or similar stuff to read, something to write on, some kind of access to Wikipedia, and coffee. And memory, if that's a thing.

Stuff I shouldn't be thinking about, because I really should be working instead. Topics of interest vary a lot, but include politics, science and gaming (board games, go, role-playing games...)

Home, playing board games with friends. I don't like crowded and noisy places.
