My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love conversations that range wildly from what’s going on in the world to playful banter. One of the many topics I can get really into chatting about is movies, engaging them on both the thematic and artistic levels. I’m also passionate about art and creativity in general. A while back, I was writing some humorous nonfiction, including, for instance, a piece spoofing the empty cliches used by sports announcers on television that was run in the Wash. Post. While my writing these days is mostly related to work, finding humor in everyday situations is still very much a part of my personality.

I’d like to meet someone with whom I can connect through conversation, humor, and playful banter. I’m drawn
to a woman who still has some of that childlike wonder about the world and has her own unique takes and opinions on things. It’d be great if she also likes to stay active, as that’s something I value in my own life as well.

My favorite novel is "Unbearable Lightness of Being." I loved the way it combined a great love story with themes about politics and freedom. The author, Milan Kundera, has this terrific way of weaving really interesting insights about a million different topics into the narrative.

Other Books: Deep Survival, Without Feathers

Comedians: Louis CK

Music: Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Within Temptation.

Food: grilled salmon.
The six things I could never do without

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I never planned on being single at this point--never been married or had kids, but hoping for that to be in the cards. Guess I just haven't met the right person yet, and it probably didn't help that I changed professions and it took a ton of energy to get where I am in my career. But now I'm at a place where I'm secure in my work and really focused on the personal side of life.
