My self-summary
I'm one industrial accident away from being a super villain.

I'm smart, I'm quick-witted and I learnt to play the guitar behind my head, despite their being no tonal benefit.

I love the rain because I think it's pretty and I believe that Freud is the horoscope writer of modern psychology.

Apparently bereft of humility.
What I’m doing with my life
I currently work in a specialist educational needs school in Oxford as a Teaching Assistant and have just been elected as a staff governor. I love my job.

I have applied for a masters in behavioural disorders and just had an offer accepted on a house.

I also have a band. At least one new song gets written every week and we'll soon be gigging once the demo's done. So that's exciting.
I’m really good at
Saying something that makes people smile, playing guitar, reaching for stuff on the top shelves, deliberately bad singing and noticing when my autocorrect ducks up.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height. I'm 6'6" and this often gets turned into a talking point. I'd obviously prefer it to be my sparkling wit, but you're more likely to see me first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I really enjoy the Wheel of Time series, Anne McCaffery's Pern series (the ones with her son don't interest me so much), Asterix, the works of Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde. and Carol Ann Duffy's poems. I recently read To Kill A Mockingbird.

I'm also a fan of DC's Gotham City Sirens, Valiant comics, the works of Alan Moore and Image Comic's Saga.

My favourite movies of all time are Jaws, 10 Things I Hate About You, every Ray Harryhausen film and Kingdom of Heaven. I also like the Marvel studios movies.

My favourite shows are The Wire, Mad Men, Transformers (the original series), Avatar/Legend of Korra and those strange documentaries you get on BBC4 at 11 o'clock. I watched one on the typeface "Helvetica", once. It was engrossing.

I love the band Wilco, they're simply my favourite group of musicians in the whole world. I also like Portishead, Feist, Parliament/Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix and Nina Simone.

For completion's sake my favourite vidya garmez are: Super Smash Bros. Melee, Pokemon, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Fallout 3, the Batman Arkham series and most Bioware games.

As for food, I like all the bad things! Chocolate, fried chicken, crisps, swarfega, etc. However, I recognise that one cannot live off crap alone and try to keep those things as treats. I'm a great fan of Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine and absolutely adore Spanish food.
The six things I could never do without
My best friends
My phone (as terrible as that is)
High & Mighty
A good pair of shoes
Free thought
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Gender politics. Being a swashbuckler. Being a super hero. Cooked chicken. Being a rockstar. How much of a dickhead Quentin Tarantino is. How much of a dickhead Mark Millar is. How great the word "dickhead" is. Why door frames aren't higher. When the revolution will come. If I should grow a beard. Robots. Aliens. Dinosaurs. Robot-alien-dinosaurs. Race-cars, lasers, aeroplanes. Harmonic bliss.
On a typical Friday night I am
With my best mates watching a movie, playing games, chilling out and laughing at old comedies. If not, I'm probably reading, writing, drawing or writing bits to bring to band practice. Sometimes I'm off on adventures... Secret ones.

Or fighting super-heroes in abandoned industrial estates. Don't tell anyone.
