My self-summary
I'm the type of man your mum would say "Oh, why don't you go out with him?". It's probably a bad idea.

Without wishing to write an essay on the definition of what makes someone "unique"- since everyone is- I do believe I'm a genuine stand-out candidate for that term. I have my own philosophical ideas, I'm politically minded and enjoy a variety of different genres of music, film, poetry, literature and drama. I also really like Lego and vidya garmez.

I am fully aware of how disastrous my taste in extra-curricular activities is and how much of a giant man-child I am. I find it pretty funny if I'm honest.

My last name is Viking in origin: I don't shut up about this. It's not to make me sound dangerous and exciting, it's more to do with the fact that I really hate when forms ask you "what's your ethnic origin?", so I put down "Viking".
What I’m doing with my life
I currently work in a specialist school and I love my job; having a young person reveal they can do something they've never been able to do before is totally rewarding. In pursuit of a Teaching qualification I'm currently doing a Higher Level Teaching Assistant course.

As of late, due to changes in my preferred entertainment mediums, I'm getting back into feminism. I don't call myself a feminist, though. Not out of shame, but out of respect. The correct term, I'm told, is "anti-sexist", so that's me.
I’m really good at
Playingguitar. I've been playing since I was 15 and I practice for at least an hour every day. Hopefully, I'll join a band one day and actually be told I'm good instead of having to shamelessly pander to people's good natures.

I'm also pretty good atDIY. I had a job with Site Maintenance at a school in the summers whilst at uni so I know how to do a lot of that.

I'm also a pretty badassLegokit builder.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height. I'm 6'6" and people seem to think I'm unaware of this, despite the fact I having to duck to get through door frames.

Second to my height I'd probably say my lips. People seem strangely drawn to them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favourite books currently are the Game of Thrones series and any graphic novel by Alan Moore or with Deadpool in it. I also really enjoyed the Wheel of Time series, Anne McCaffery's Pern series (the ones with her son don't interest me so much), Asterix, the works of Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde. and Carol Ann Duffy's poems. I'm currently reading a Germaine Greer book about Art and Shere Hite's reports into sexuality. Yes, really.

My favourite movies of all time are Jaws, 10 Things I Hate About You and Kingdom of Heaven. I also like the Marvel studios movies and anything that approaches gender politics with a level of sophistication and/or maturity. Those two things may seem contradictory... because they probably are.

My favourite shows are The Wire, Mad Men, Transformers (the original series), Avatar/Legend of Korra and those strange documentaries you get on BBC4 at 11 o'clock. I watched one on the typeface "Helvetica", once. Weird.

I love the band Wilco, they're simply my favourite group of musicians in the whole world. I also like Portishead, Feist, Parliament/Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix and Nina Simone.

For completion's sake my favourite vidya garmez are: Super Smash Bros. Melee, Pokemon, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Skyrim, the Batman Arkham series and most Bioware games.

As for food, I like anything that's bad for me. Like chocolate, fried chicken, crisps or swarfega.
The six things I could never do without
My guitar
Lego
My best friend
Cooked chicken
My moral compass
High & Mighty
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Gender politics. Power. Oppression. Being a swashbuckler. Being a super hero. Cooked chicken. Being a rockstar. Hoiw much of a dickhead Quentin Tarantino is. How much of a dickhead Mark Millar is. How great the word "dickhead" is. Why door frames aren't higher. When will the revolution come. If I should grow a beard.
On a typical Friday night I am
With my friends, arsing around. If not, I'm probably reading or writing or drawing or playing guitar. Sometimes I'm off on adventures.

Or fighting super-villains in abandoned industrial estates. Don't tell anyone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ask about it and I'll admit it.

You like conversation, long walks, chocolate, the works of Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde, vidya garmez or eccentric giants who won't shut up about their Viking ancestry.
