I am Determined, Relaxed, and Vigilant.

My Self-Summary

I'm a pretty regular guy. Very laid back and ready to just go with what's happening. I've been a lot of places in my short life (15 countries to be exact) and I've done many things. Due to that I like to think I'm a little more wise and experienced then the average 24 year old male. I don't always feel the need to be chatty or be the center of attention. Sometimes I'm just content to listen to and watch what's going on around me. Sometimes I feel that a companionable silence with the people I care about is equally as important as deep conversation. When I do feel the need to speak however, I'm usually a big goof who enjoys cracking jokes, being sarcastic, and laughing. I don't believe that this life is about the number of years you live, or your possessions, but instead I think life is about how you live the time you have, and the mark you leave. That being said I strive to fill each day with something meaningful, and learn as much as I can.

I don't care much for traditional gender roles. Women can and should do whatever they see fit for their lives, but I do believe that men should be men. My definition of being a man is protecting the people and things you love despite any cost involved, standing up for what you believe in while having enough wisdom to open up and learn another point of view, and providing for your family. That does not mean I think I should have the highest paycheck, but it certainly means I will not be a couch potato and let my other half be the only one with a job. I'm a blue collar working man to my core. I prefer a hard days work with my sleeves rolled up breaking a sweat. I always feel very fulfilled afterward.

I have a strong love for the medieval knight. Not the actuality of it, since most were snotty nobles who felt they were above everyone else, but what they were supposed to be. At the top of martial prowess with a desire to only use their ability to fight to protect the innocent or those weaker than themselves. To be well spoken and mild mannered, neither giving in to temper or bending a knee to those who could not prove themselves worthy of bending a knee to, and carrying themselves with a confidence that does not pass into the realm of cockiness. Do I always succeed in this? Not always, I'm far from perfect and not to proud to admit it, but I damn sure try.

I'll probably add more when it comes to mind.

What I’m doing with my life

Going to school for massage therapy and writing a book. Outside of that, trying to have fun and enjoy my time.

I’m really good at

Listening, sarcasm, making people laugh by being a complete idiot, giving people strength when they need it, day dreaming, video games, arguing about the zombie apocalypse with my coworkers, paintball, and life.

The first things people usually notice about me

I tend to have a serious expression on my face, I walk briskly and with a purpose, and my shoulders are back and head high. Don't let it fool you though, it's just an old habit from the military. I'm not nearly as serious as I appear.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Maybe I'll fill this part in later when I feel like typing forever.

The six things I could never do without

Family, friends, my computer, books, time to relax and collect my thoughts, and the gym.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything really. If I'm not actively engaged in an activity, I'm usually lost in space contemplating any number of things. From the complexities of our universe and how small we really are, to what makes people tick and how much such a "small" person can accomplish.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out with friends having a beer or two, and then coming home to unwind, read a book, and fall asleep.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Admitting it would mean it is no longer private.

You should message me if

You want to. Pretty simple.
