I am silly, intense, and cuddly.

My Self-Summary

I have a witty sense of humor, that sometimes comes off a little abrasive to some. Even though I never intend to offend I sometimes tick people off (I love a witty come back). At heart I'm a very warm person though. I'm the kind of guy who's there to listen and talk whenever I can, and I always make and effort to not be judgmental.

I enjoying listening to what people have to say, and the stories they have to tell. I love a smart conversation, and I hate closed minded people. I am passionate about the things I believe in though. I talk straight forward, and again that can sometimes get me in trouble though I don't mean for it to. I appreciate the same from everyone else though. In fact, I get tired of people who try to beat around the bush. I'd rather you just tell me you if hate my shirt, and then we can both laugh about it.

I enjoy all the beauty of this world, and look forward to the day I can go out and touch some bigger pieces of it. I've not had a lot of chances to travel, but I've got high hopes and can name a country on every continent I VERY much want to visit someday.

You'll never meet a more immature grown-up around kids than me. I don't care who's watching. If I can make a kid laugh, I'm good for the day.

I don't let the little things bother me, only the little minded people (i.e. bad drivers, the self-centered and arrogant, people who refuse to listen/learn).

I am DIE HARD about the NY Giants.

What I’m doing with my life

I did five years enlisted in the US Coast Guard after college. In Aug 09 I moved to South Korea for a year (hopefully more) to teach English to kindergarten kids. Tough job, VERY rewarding. I love children, and i'm loving Korea. My short term plan is to do this long enough to get the experience I need to get a job in Brazil, and be there for the 2014 World Cup. Otherwise, there a whole lot of other corners of the globe I want to see too.

I’m really good at

Listening, being loud, giving advice, problem solving, making out.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm tall.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Book: Silas Marner - Movie: Leon/The Professional, The Greatest Movie Ever Made. - Music: anything with heart and soul. I enjoy everything from Afro-Pop to Celtic, so long as it can make me feel something. For a few years ALL I listened to was Jazz. Now I listen mostly to NPR, music on public radio, and almost anything but pop radio. Pop music today fills me with hate. I also will never understand a person who doesn't love Reggae. NOTE: Now that I'm in Korea I'm really enjoying a lot of KPop. If I learn what they're actually saying though, it might ruin it for me. - Foods: anything new.

I read the BBC World News online religiously. I'm kinda nerdy like that.

The six things I could never do without

Faith, music, sunglasses, laughter, self determination, comfortable shoes.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Our world community. The hypocrisy of my own nation. How much I love what my country is supposed to be about. The fact that we're all so much alike. The fact that the more people try to exploit our perceived differences for personal gain, the more diminished our human legacy becomes.

Since moving to Korea: - I wish the bus system came with an online map that was easy to understand like the subway. - I LOVE Kimbap Nara - I like T money? - I should learn more of this language? - Why don't I have a garbage disposal? - 경기장 있어요? - Did I type that right? Probably not. - I miss Dr. pepper... REAL Dr. Pepper.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

There are three things I truly believe a man should be empowered to command his significant other to do:
1. Don't move, there's a deadly snake behind you.
2. Quick come here, there's a deadly snake behind you.
3. Scratch my back.

Also, I love hugs.

You should message me if

I'm looking for a girl to have a lot of fun and laughs and especially try something new with. I'm a sports/movies/music fan, but not really an expert in any. I believe men and women are equals intellectually, but one of the things I like most about myself is I'm a gentleman. I'd like a girl who will let me open the door for her. In fact, she should punch me in the shoulder if I forget to. I'll seriously appreciate it...eventually.

If you want to laugh, be treated right, try something new, get taken out for sushi/hamburgers/scrambled eggs (whatever we're in the mood for), and then laugh some more, come chat me up!
