My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a fun and self-loving nerd! I love music, tv shows, making obscure pop culture references, and having fun with friends. That could mean playing games, eating sushi, going to see shows, etc. I'm not that big on the club scene, but don't mind it. I'll occasionally get the desire to go out dancing/drinking with friends I trust. Ideals are also important to me. Social justice, equality, and standing up for what is right is very important to me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Like many people of our forsaken generation, I'm still trying to figure that out. I graduated from University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in physics and astronomy. Now I'm living in Chicago trying to make the most of my life. I have dreams and desires I am pursing. If you want to know more then we can talk in person.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at quoting movies and things on the internet. "FHQWHGADS!"
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How am I supposed to know this?! Am I other people? How do I know what they notice about me first? Is the first thing really the most important thing about oneself anyway? Uhm, they notice my... aptitude for world domination.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite Books - I read a lot of history, social justice, and political theory books. I think it's important to know about the world that we live in, where our history came from, what other cultures are like, etc. If you are into that kind of thing you are more than welcome to borrow from my giant stack of books. For everyone else, I also read Harry Potter, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Hunger Games, and apparently anything that beings with "H."

Favorite Movies - This is a hard one. There are so many good ones and I don't own a lot. Donnie Darko, Sin City, Tank Girl, Labyrinth, The Fountain, Princess Mononoke, Push, Scott Pilgrim, Hedwig and the Angry Inch... this could go on for a while. I love sci-fi, adventure, old black and white movies, indie, documentaries, movies that have some kind of message or make you think or feel something. I don't like most horror (some are okay) or generic action-packed blockbusters by Michael Bay. There are a lot of times where I want to go see a movie but can't get anyone to go with me. So if you like to go see movies hit me up!

TV Shows - Anything and everything by Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Dollhouse, and Firefly), Futurama, Scrubs, Parks and Recreation, Xena, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, Ugly Betty, Venture Bros, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory. Anime: Full-Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Trigun, FLCL, Sailor Moon.

Music - I like a lot of things. Mostly anything except country and gangster rap. I like oldies like The Kinks and The Zombies. I like newer stuff like Young the Giant, The Naked and the Famous, Beach House, Lupe Fiasco, The XX. And everything in between: The Killers, Samantha Crain, The Pillows, M.I.A., La Roux, Lady Gaga, Interpol, Under the Influence of Giants, AFI, Gaslight Anthem, etc. Some rap and old skool hip-hop is really good. David Bowie is my life idol. I like Jazz and played in a jazz band for about 7.5 years.

Food - SPICY! The hotter, the better. If it's not hot enough, I'll douse it with Sriracha sauce. Mexican (or any other Latin American country), Indian, Chinese, Japanese is all good. I'm a vegetarian so anything that has a good variety of non-meat options is great.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
2) My friends and family who help support me
3) The ability to laugh and have fun
4) Not to sound materialistic, but the internet
5) Human interaction
6) My kitty!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Society, philosophy, and how prepared is my living space in the event of zombie apocalypse and/or Velociraptor attack.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, surfing the internet, or doing something that is definitely NOT playing nerdy vampire games with friends.... <_<; >_>
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I think one of the most romantic things is just going grocery shopping together.

It's just the idea of getting to that level of comfort with each other that you stop planning something fun and setting aside time to hang out with each other and you start just being with each other through all the mundane things in life. You start including your partner in your day-to-day activities and in your life rather than making time to see them. That is just super romantic to me and that's what I want.
