I am caring, quirky, and honest.
My Self-Summary
I enjoy going out to dinner or watching a movie, whether at home or
out, cliche I know, but what can I say?
Dancing is a blast, and I love
hockey. (GO Wings!)
My family is hugely important to me, especially my nieces Emily
& Molly, two of the cutest kids you'll ever meet.
I dunno what else to put here, but ask me anything, I've got no
secrets. Or at least no interesting ones...
Last thing, I hate drama, I've been in enough relationships where
things got stupidly complicated or confusing, and I'm really hoping
to find that girl who knows what she wants and doesn't feel the
need to play games.
What I’m doing with my life
Re-evaluating it. I moved back to my home town and I'm working here
and there while I figure out my long term goals and how to get
there.
I've been doing some stuff for this guy my dad works with on a side
business of computer repairs and such. I really enjoy it, but my
boss is an absolute pain to get a hold of and get paid for my time.
I'm looking for something else, preferably something more regular
and that works with my class schedule.
I've attending LMC (the local community college) to working on an
associates degree in Web Design.
I’m really good at
making friends. I moved around a lot as a kid, living in 6 states
by the time I was 12, so I pretty much had to learn how to make
friends over and over again. I really treasure the friendships that
I've built up over the years, because it used to be that my friends
would only last a couple years before I'd move again.
I also have a very creative side, part of which is an outlet for
me. I write the occasional short story when the mood strikes me,
but I usually have trouble finishing them. This is either because I
grow bored of the story or because I just cant seem to find a good
wrapping up point and the story lingers and gets drawn out.
I also enjoy photography, but I'm currently without a good camera,
maybe once I get some money I'll look into getting a decent one and
get back into it.
The first things people usually notice about me
how tall I am or my smile I guess, no one has ever really told me
and obviously I can't be sure myself, so I'm taking a best guess
here.
No really... someone tell me, what is the first thing you notice
about me? I'd like to know.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books - I read mostly fantasy novels, with the occasional
thriller/mystery when the mood strikes me. The next thing I've got
planned to read is Dean Koontz's Frankenstein series. I've already
read the first two, but he took so long getting the third out, I
need to start at the beginning again.
Movies - I like all sorts of things, from sci-fi, to fantasy, to
superhero, action, comedy, you name it. I can even bear to sit
through most chick flicks. ;) I've got a pretty extensive
collection of DVDs and I'm always looking for stuff to add to
it.
Music - I'm really eclectic here and while I mostly like classic
rock, I listen to tidbits of everything, from rap to country, from
punk to even some pop. Lately though my mp3 player has been filled
with podcasts.
Food - I'm an old fashion American boy, I like hamburgers and
pizza, steak and PB&J. I can usually find something to eat at
any restaurant, but I do have to watch out because I am allergic to
onions.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I want from life and how to achieve those goals. Among which
are (in no particular order) a degree, a career, a home, and most
importantly someone to share it all with, because you could be the
most successful, rich and affluent person around, but with out love
it doesn't mean a damn thing.
Aside from those riveting, life consuming things, my brain tends to
wander on some really bizarre tangents if I let it.
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with friends. Doesn't matter where we are or what we
are doing, I need my friends in my life. I got pulled away from
them in the past and I think I went nuts without my friends to talk
to and let off steam with. Lately I am at the Get-A-Way bar in
Bridgman for karaoke night. I don't sing, but lots of my friends do
and its fun to hang out and support them.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
is that I hate the sound of my own voice. I hear it on voice mail
or something and I swear I sound semi-retarded. I've been told my
voice is fine and that everyone dislikes their own voice, but it
still bugs me. It just doesn't sound like what I hear in my head or
when I talk.
Apparently according to my Intro to Public Speaking teacher, this
is a fairly common occurrence.
You should message me if
- you want to get to know a really great guy who is trying to get
his life back together and wants someone to love and share his life
with.
- you are ok with how you look, I'm not saying you have to be a
runway model, god knows I'm no George Clooney, but you should at
least not think you are unattractive, I've been with too many girls
who have no self confidence about their looks and a change would be
nice.
- you don't mind if I'm a little odd.
