My self-summary
I'm unique. Established, intelligent, grounded - but my inner child is never far from the surface. Might be why kids like me. And adults too. I like making meaningful moments, and mischief. I suck the marrow out of life -- but am a hell of a lot more fun than Thoreau.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a job that is intellectually stimulating and meaningful, but spend most of my free time with my artist friends who are trying to make it big in the music industry or writing. I've written short stories that are pretty hysterical. I make the most of moments. I know when there's a full moon and will point it out coming up over the buildings. If we're on vacation, I'll get you up to see the sunrise (and then some...) I cook, and think meals are a special time -- even if it's just me.
I’m really good at
Getting 25 hours out of the day. I'm fit, and athletic and would prefer you to be also. I'm comfortable enough in my manhood to want you to beat me at tennis (every now and then). I've done marathons, triathalons and sometimes ride to work even when it's snowing because it's fun. I prefer sailboats to powerboats and can plot a course, take my bearings and generally know where I am (but kind of like being lost too). I like making plans, but then throwing them out and making it up as you go along.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. That I stand when you enter the room. My eyes are hazel and get greener as the lights get dimmer.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Russian novels, from War and Peace to Life and Fate with a little Brothers K and Chekov mixed in; The Great Gatsby, Short stories from The New Yorker, Murakami; Dava Sobel; John Irving; Montagne; Thoreau; e e Cummings; T. S. Eliot; just to name a few.

Music: Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Wilco, Brandi Carlile, Radiohead, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Beatles, Stones, Who, Neal Young, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Decemberists, Bright Eyes, Emmylou Harris, Patti Griffin, Tom Petty, Arcade Fire, Lorde, Miley Cyrus (yes!), Macklemore & Ryan, fun.

Food: Sea bass, scallops, native salmon, skate, asparagus, aubergine, sirloin -- all done to perfection on my grill...
The six things I could never do without
I'm really not that dependant on things. But I'd really be disappointed if someone stole either of my bikes!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why I'm always running late.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home in my club chair with slippers, smoking jacket, scotch on the rocks, reading something edited by Susie Bright. (I mean -- comeon with these stupid questions!)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Let's discuss. I think it's more fun to whisper such things.
