I'm a native of Kentucky. I've never been married and have no children. I'm no longer worried about that sort of thing. I have bigger fish to fry.

I have a sense of humor but it may be a little off at times. I like really simple jokes that tend to inspire groans rather than laughs.

I earned a BFA from Murray State University way back in 1991 for God's sake. I'm freaking old! Aahhem... Sorry about that.

I like history. I like new things, new experiences. I don't like doing things by myself but most of my friends with similar interests are married or work a different schedule than i do. So for a while now I've been pretty well cooped up and I need to get the heck out and do something. And thus the perceived need for a profile on a site such as this.

I smoke. Yes I know it's a bad habit or a filthy addiction but I smoke a PIPE. It's still smoking; I know. But I have so few vices that I just can't bring myself to care overly much.

I like beers. Dark, light, amber, red, green as long as they're beer I'll try it and if I like it I'll have another. Thanks. I prefer white wines to red but I'm not opposed to either as long as they aren't too sweet or too dry. Simple are my tastes.

Meat and potatoes are always good but I like to try new foods and new styles of food. Sea food, Asian food, Italian, Greek, Indian whatever. I'll try it and if I like it I'll try it again.

Most women who click over to my profile aren't going to get this far but if you have then why not risk looking over the rest of the stuff they want us to type in these blanks? You've already expended about three minutes what are few more?

Oh this is a lovely question.

I am trying to get business started. I'm an artist. a member of the Kentucky Arts Council and a featured artisan at the Berea Artisan Center. Things have improved over the last couple of years but the business isn't off the ground just yet. I'm going to change that.

I work in steel and a small amount of wood. If you want to know what I make please ask. It will give you an excuse to message me and I will have a chance to answer you more specifically. Chances are if you want it made I can probably make it. No... Really... I probably can. Why are you laughing like that?

Well like I just said: I'm an artist. Guess what I'm really good at?

That's right! I can make the best scrambled omelet you ever had. I find that if you throw enough cheese on top of it you can't even taste the burned parts.

I'm also good at other stuff. Let me think.

Oh! Yeah... I almost forgot. I give a really good back rub or even a foot massage but only if the feet have been recently washed. You go tromping around through some cow pasture bare foot and the deal's off. Sorry but I have my limits.

My long, curling, golden locks. Well actually the near complete absence there of. Yep. Dern near bald on top and I don't do comb overs, baby. At least my ears aren't abnormally large or anything.

[Books] Let's just say I have an eclectic library. Old classics like The Three Musketeers and the collected works of Rudyard Kipling. Brand new stuff from folks like Jim Butcher and Bernard Cornwell. If it's an adventure or a mystery chances are I'll read it. Doesn't matter if it's sci-fi, fantasy or historical fiction. Just as long as it is well written.

[Movies] Same thing. I do like comedy too. I tend toward things like Scary Movie or The Naked Gun. Baseketball is one of my all time favorites. I like the classic too.

[Music] Broad range of likes here too. Depends on my mood or even the mood I want to get in. Heavy Metal to Ambient.

If I go literal on this it'll come off as dumb.
Coffee I would miss to the point of near manic depression.
Lack of access to good reading would drop me in my tracks.
A pet is a requirement in my life. That was the hardest thing about college.
Projects for my hands to do. I'd go nuts without them.
Air conditioning in the summer. I don't mind being a little warm but the humidity drives me over the edge.
Inspiration for my next piece. I hate a creative block. Hate it!

The next project on my list or the next step in the project I'm currently working on.

Yes. I do focus a lot of mental energy on my work. I think that's what make me good at what I do.

Lately I've been in my workshop. However what I would rather be doing is going to a comedy club or playing cards or sitting next to a campfire or riding horses if I still had one or driving to some distant place where I plan to spend the weekend or having a nice candle lit dinner with a particularly attractive, charming, perhaps slightly shy woman who just wants some good old fashioned gent to listen to her and have a few laughs a few drinks and then go ride roller coasters until we get all sick and feel like we need to sit somewhere and have some bromide until our stomachs settle down. Or not.

I enjoy writing fanfiction. Yes it sounds silly but it gets my mind off work and bills and it isn't addictive or dangerous to my health and there are people who read it and enjoy it. I am an artist after all and creating things for people to enjoy is what I do. Take that away from me and you may as well bury me six feet down because all you'll have left is a resentful husk.
