My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I want to make you laugh, and I'm willing to embarrass myself to make it happen. Once I told some jokes at an open mic on a first date. The girl laughed; whether it was at me or my jokes, I'm not sure.

I like exercise and it is important for me to get some on a regular basis. I love swimming, biking, and running. Also, I've been known to jazzercise, body pump, boot camp, and downward dog for my daily dose of activity.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm the assistant swimming coach at Swarthmore College and a graduate student at Temple University. I'm finishing up a masters in sport and exercise psychology.

This summer I swam at Masters Nationals. I was first (in a field of four) in the 200 backstroke. Technically, this makes me a national champion. I got a gold medal and then a friend and I tried to use it to get free beer and pizza around DC. It didn't work out quite as well as we had hoped it would.

I took a two week trip to Italy at the end of August. It was amazing. I ate great food, had lots of wine (and a few negronis), and I saw amazing art and beautiful cities. One of my favorite things was the cooking class that I took with my parents in Florence; so much fun.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Doing bicep curls with bags of groceries on the walk home from the store.
The first things people usually notice about me

I have yellow glasses.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My bikes, a place to swim, friends and family, coffee, kettle cooked potato chips, and running shoes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to be a better swimming coach, where should I go on this bike ride, did I lock the front door, if I was a cat would I poop behind the dryer?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having dinner and good beer at one of the many great South Philly dive bars, at a friend's house for a game or three of Settlers of Catan, or at home to watch a movie or binge watch a whole season of a tv show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a cat named Baby. Her breath smells really bad. Sorry, Baby.
