My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Le Basics: I'm an originally from the DMV and aside from four years in Massachusetts, I've been here my whole life. I currently live in Shaw and really enjoy living close to all of the new bars, restaurants and blah-blah-blah, that are popping up. I also enjoy getting away from the city every now and then for quieter locations.
My friends would describe me as fun, loyal and honest, while I would say I'm secretly an introvert with short bursts of energy.
I turned 30 this year *didn't die of alcohol poisoning* and I'm fairly excited for what the next decade has in store.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I'm temping for a DC agency while looking for other opportunities and enjoying the shortest commute in my entire life. Aside from werk, I'm thriving, surviving and spending a lot of time outside.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Several accomplishments that would have served me better during the Victorian - Edwardian Era. I can ride a horse and not die. I can play the violin and double bass. I have a decent forehand and backhand and I can carry a tune.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes. Hair. Tattoo of a flaming unicorn on my forehead.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:
Right now I'm reading "Violets are Blue", by James Patterson. I tend to read a lot of fiction but refuse to have a "Summer Reading List". I stick to the sci-fi/thrillers. I've been geeking out over a sci-fi thriller series that I completed recently: The Breach, Ghost Country and Deep Sky.
Other favorites are Philosophy for Beginners (A comic book),
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close; Lamb: the Gospel of Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal; The Taking; From the Corner of His Eye, The Harvest; The Door to December; A Dirty Job

Movies:
Hot Fuzz! Ghostbusters! High Fidelity, Midnight in Paris, Pride and Prejudice, Inception, Jane Eyre, Atonement, LOTHR's, Dark Knight, Harry Potter, Giant, Indiana Jones, Star Wars 4-6, Select Star Trek movies, Love Actually, Sleepless in Seattle, Constantine.

Shows:
While I don't watch a lot of TV I will occasionally binge watch shows, usually on WETA UK. I'm a fan of the following: Dr. Who, The Office, 30 Rock, Torchwood, Game of Thrones, Girls, My Family, Breaking Bad (RIP), Seinfeld reruns, Last Tango in Halifax and some sports (tennis & baseball).
I avoid a lot of reality TV because it causes plague and brain rot.

Music:
Radiohead, Coldplay, Damien Rice, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson, Iron &Wine, Postal Service, The Beatles, Whitney Houston, Smashing Pumpkins, Florence + The Machine.

Food:
Thai and Italian but I'll try anything once... sometimes twice, even if it's nasty.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Air (Obvi! *Flips Hair*)
2. Gold ring my mother gave me.
3. Chap-stick
4. Sanity / Whiskey
5. Debit Card
6. A good book
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The universe, future life plans, where I want to go on my next hike. Traveling more often.
Poetry.
"If stars dropped out of heaven,
And if flowers took their place,
The sky would still look very fair,
And fair earth's face.
Winged angels might fly down to us
To pluck the stars,
Be we could only long for flowers
Beyond the cloudy bars."
~Christina Georgina Rossetti~
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinking whiskey, being social... or laying on the couch.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
... Nope
