My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
One of my fondest memories from childhood is the time I saw the same TV commercial twice in a row on the same channel. Somehow, the knowledge that people can mess up really struck a chord with 5-year-old me and I've never viewed the world quite the same way ever since.

Anyway, born and raised in NYC but spent most of my adult life living elsewhere. I like all the usual stuff (cooking, hiking, traveling, etc.) but I don't do brunch.

Looking for someone who is willing to challenge me, has a good sense of humor, doesn't take herself too seriously, and loves live music.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently working in consulting, following the Giants' off-season activities, and figuring out my next vacation destination. Also trying to get back into choral singing as a hobby; I sang with an NYC-based group about a year ago but had to give it up because I was traveling a lot for work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing, keeping secrets, useless trivia, listening, dissecting the NFL rule book.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People always seem to think that they have met me before, so I guess people usually notice how much I remind them of other people.

Books: The "Rabbit" tetralogy by John Updike, "Freedom" by Jonathan Franzen, "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides, "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving, "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger
Movies: The Lives of Others, Master and Commander, GoodFellas, Chinatown, Babe
TV: Jeopardy!, The Simpsons (though it's been in a steady decline since Season 7), South Park, The Wire, Planet Earth, Breaking Bad
Music: Anything that doesn't suck but I've been primarily into classical lately - I go to the NY Philharmonic a lot.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
(in no particular order):

Olive Oil
My passport
My iPod
My trapper keeper (or least the memories of it)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my Halloween costume will be this year. How "zzz" became the universal symbol for sleep.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Checking out a concert, going to happy hour and / or dinner with friends, seeing a movie, cooking at home, etc., or any combination thereof.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm scared of frogs.
