My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(On occasion my mailbox get's full and I can no longer receive messages until I delete some. When I do this depends on A) When I find out my inbox is full. and B) When I can get to a computer because I cannot delete messages on my phone. If I don't respond to you in a week or so I probably didn't get the message. I ALWAYS respond at least once.)

The first words of a profile are important. So I choose to say...Cephalopod!

(Actually I prefer Medusozoas, but I like both)

(I know this profile got a bit long. For those of you like reading these things, enjoy. Those that don't, I understand if you just skim as long as you try to get the important bits.)
(I've decided to make little notes next to more important info. I will bold the notes)

And now for something completely different.

A young woman who's even younger at heart and fancies herself both an actress and a writer. A firm believer in "We're not lost, we're on an adventure." But tries to never leave home without her GPS anyways because her sense of direction in a car is infantile but better on foot. She's a little off the wall...well, okay, she let's her freak flag fly! She knows she's weird and quirky and she's proud of it! She prides herself on being open minded, trying anything at least once, and constantly striving to better herself while always being around for friends who need an ear to rage to or a shoulder to cry on.

I like to think I am colorblind(by color I mean race), genderblind, and I fully believe that age should not define who we are allowed to love.
Remember, geeky is the new sexy.
End Pertinent Section

On a side note, I know I am mostly exhibiting my playful and geeky side here. It is a big part of me. But understand that, as with most people, there is so much more to me. I can be playful or somber, flirty or shy. It depends on my mood at the time. I enjoy reading or meditating as much as I enjoy going out and being wacky with my friends.

Also, I know my sexuality is set as "bi-sexual" but "Genderblind" is really more accurate a word to describe how I see beauty and how I experience good personalities and intellects.

I am neither an introvert nor an extrovert. But I have recently discovered I have traits of both. I love going out and doing things with friends, or going to parties. But on the other hand, I can only take so much social interaction before I need to recharge my internal batteries. So, if at times I just wanna stay home or something, just know that I am probably recovering and will be back to having fun in no time.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now? Waiting for it to begin. I work for my families company and at this time, they can't pay me. No money means, living with my parents, driving my parents car(s), not going to school, and not really doing much of anything I've wanted to have done by this age. But I've still got some time I guess. And it's a truly good cause.

I really want to travel.
I've seen a lot of profiles that like to accuse people of only talking about traveling and not doing it. Well, I am sorry but not everyone has it so easy that they can pick up and go board a plane. If I could afford it, I would probably do just that. My dad's the CTO and Chairman of the Board where I "work", I could get the time off at a moments notice. I don't have money. No one where I work has money. I don't want to sound like a bitch but it's a passionate subject and I just hate the idea that someone reading this profile might imply or accuse me of being fake.

One good thing though, I recently lost 50 pounds. So being active is a lot easier.

For a about a year, after high school, I had a job taking care of special needs children. And very briefly I worked as a caregiver for a sick, elderly man. I really like taking care of people and I think I would like to keep doing that once I get my life more in order.

Every new day is a chance to experience something new, beautiful, and exhilarating.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Well, I like to think I'm a good actress and a good writer. I fancy myself a 'story-teller' like my Great Great Grandmother on my fathers side. I'm told I am good at Photography, which I love!

You can find some of my photography here:
http://themonkeyfish.deviantart.com/gallery/

I'm also good at memorization, VERY good, especially movie quotes.

On that note, I am good at memorizing and singing songs in different languages.

I like riddles.

One of my many mottoes: "I can do anything, even fly. It may resemble falling but...it counts"
The first things people usually notice about me

I get the most comments on my eyes and hair.

My hair is short cut with longer tendrils in the front that have now grown past my collarbone. I jokingly call it my reverse mullet.

I also have a scar on my right pinky finger that looks like a tiny seahorse. But I have to point it out. It's just pretty nifty.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:My favorite book would have to be The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. I'm also a bit into Nietzsche(mostly his random quotes). And I am fascinated by Peter Straub(a little known suspense thriller writer and genius). But Amanda Hemingway and Jan Siegal(same person) writes interesting and lovely fantasy novels.

Somewhat Pertinent
I've got most of The Desiderata memorized and try to model the majority of my life after it. If you don't know what that is, google it or ask me.

Movies:
I also love movies like Labyrinth and Mirrormask.

I used to be absolutely mad about Repo! The Genetic Opera. And rightly so. And now the latest project by the same creators: The Devil's Carnival.

I like Fantasy, Sci-fi, and Horror best! Not in that order. And NOT ONLY those things.
End
So it stands to follow that I like movies like The Fifth Element, Phantom of the Opera, and almost everything Simon Pegg has done because comedies are dearly loved as well.

Most anything Monty Python.

And I love theater and dark musicals like Sweeney Todd. But not the Tim Burton movie of it because it was so butchered I wanted to weep.

Shows, well, get ready to see my geekiness: Community, Smash, Star Trek (All generations EXCEPT Enterprise), Doctor Who(Old and new), Firefly, Supernatural, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Whose Line is It Anyway, BBC Sherlock and Misfits. Among many, many others.

I like all music but prefer Celtic, alternative rock, and, well, Gothic music, but proper classic Gothic, not modern "Goth". Big difference(to find out what I mean, try Youtube-ing Nox Arcana). My favorite songs right now are The Voice by Celtic Women(Eimear Quinn), Keep The Streets Empty For Me by Fever Ray, and Erase/Rewind by The Cardigans. I also have a not-so-secret passion for showtunes and musicals

I'm a bit into Comedic bands(Ninja Sex Party[!!!!!!!]) and funny Irish jigs (Finnegan's Wake, Sick Note, Another Irish Drinking Song)lately.

Food, eh, I'm gonna say Sushi.
And things with lot's of garlic. Or spicy food.
Aaaand Chinese or Thai food.

There's no mention of putting a video game section and that's a travesty, OKCupid!
I love video games. I have nothing newer than a PS2. My all time favorite game is Shadowrun for the SNES. I'm a fan of the old Legend of Zelda Games. Mainly A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. I enjoy a few of the Final Fantasy games in particular and games like Drakengard, Rule of Rose, Chrono Cross (And Chrono Trigger), and Portal (1 and 2).
I also have a Turbo Duo but so few people know what that is that I'm not going to mention my favorite game on that (Ys[oops!]).
Oh, and before you ask, I don't play (m)any MMOs but I'm not opposed to it so long as it doesn't cost me anything.

Show me something new to love?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I like to think I can be strong and adapt to anything. But here goes:

In no particular order.

Friends,
The stage,
My mind,
Adventure,
Nature,
Family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The stories in my head.
Music.
Trying to be compassionate and understanding at all times.
Bettering myself.
Which may sound a bit cliche or odd but it is something I strive for.

Whether the March Hare really DID use the best butter to fix the timepiece. I mean, it WAS two days off.

How things came to be the way they are. How things we consider commonplace were invented. Who first thought up things we think of everyday and why.

For instance, can you imagine how awkward it was to invent the hug?
"Why are you holding me?"
"Shh, just trust me."

Also, things like:
"There is always some madness in love, but there is always some reason in madness." - Friedrich Nietzsche.
And suchlike.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'd generally say I don't have a typical Friday night. It just depends on who is free to hang out.

Oftentimes, In my room, staring at a computer screen or getting ready to go out with my closest friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a lucky tu-tu. (It's in one of my pictures) Now you know.

I'm also a rather spiritually focused being, make of that what you will.(Note: this has nothing to do with religion...at all)

Please don't ask me what I'm doing on this site. It's kind of obvious, I'm sure you can think of something better to ask me.

I'm no grammar Nazi, but I do like good grammar and spelling. However, the only thing I will warn you about, is using U instead of You or R instead of Are and stuff like that. I won't ignore you but I will be far less interested in talking with you. It's not even and entirely conscious reaction. It's just how I end up feeling.
End

P.S. No matter who you are or what you look like, I will always message you back. It's just mean not to. Unless you hit on me in a vulgar way then I laugh and stop talking to you. Just keep it classy and we're groovy.
