My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm here to find someone I connect with. I'm looking for intellectual, emotional, creative and physical compatibility.

I'm pretty busy but I like to think I have room to fit in a special someone to share my life with. I study full-time at the moment, I get money doing life-modelling and I create part-time. I like to spend time exploring my own creative outlets, specifically fiction writing and blogging, digital photography plus other stuff that I'm not very good at. I'm happy to give you the address for my blog in messages.

Hipster warning: I live in Fitzroy, I cycle around and lift heavy things at the gym. I pretend I can play bass guitar, and have recently joined/co-founded a band, and I frequently instragram my food.

I'm outgoing and friendly and can get quite loud when I'm excited, although I tend to be fairly quiet at home. I'm a feminist, I'm sex positive and monogamous. I'm fairly strong in some of my opinions, others I'm open to being influenced on. I'm keen to learn, and will do my very best to admit when I'm wrong.

Life is a journey and I'm trying to make it my priority to enjoy the ride as much as I can and not think too much about the destination, I'm looking for someone to share the journey.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to live by the mantra "I do things that make me happy, if they don't make me happy I stop doing them." Most of the time it works.

I want to have a family, I think, but I'm not in any particular rush.

I want to have meaning in my life, whether through study or work or art or whatever - I realise that this is the most important thing for me.

I'd like to have my writing published (I have had two short stories published, but my two novels are as yet unpublished), possibly even earn some money from it. In that vein I've started performing at spoken word events around Melbourne and trying to get to know other arty types.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, my smile... I also have one particular laugh which is a bit like a squawk/honk, so that's awkwardly noticeable sometimes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I always hate this question - I am going to attempt it - please note that this is a representative rather than exhaustive list.

Books: I am trying to get more into reading poetry and stuff that isn't just floss, eg Oscar Wilde, Hunter S Thomson, big fan of Neil Gaiman, also Tolkien, erm, seriously lots of stuff. I've joined a book group so hopefully that will broaden my horizons! I also do a lot of reading for uni, classics and literature mostly, I just finished The Catcher in the Rye and Brave New World.

Movies: For favourites it would have to be Labyrinth and Rocky Horror Picture Show... umm I enjoy bad horror films, arty films, kids films and occassionally big budget films . I'm incredibly sad that the Astor is closing.

Music: So many things! Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Radiohead, NIN (who I saw twice when they where here recently!), Pink Floyd, I also enjoy stuff like Deadmau5 and Skrillex.

Shows: I recently discovered Community, and am thus crushing pretty hard on both Jeff and the Dean, lots of stuff on ABC iview or SBS, the recent Dr Whos, Wilfred, Dexter, Peepshow, Mythbusters, Spaced, QI (if I couldn't have any of the others I would be happy with just QI). I also enjoy stuff that Joss Whedon does (especially Firefly)... yes. And I have a moderate addiction to the BBC Sherlock (I have watched every episode repeatedly, I admit I may have a problem, also anything with Brandlebunch Cumberbund).

Food: oh now this is unfair, I have to say that Salt n Vinegar chips are the one thing I could never give up, I like Asian inspired stuff, lots of chilli, I eat everything (almost literally)!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Art (in the broad sense), cuddles, friends, food, sleep, freedom (probably in that order too...)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Actually eating is probably what I spend the most time thinking about. Then I think about what I'm doing with my life for a bit, but I usually go back to eating. Eating is great, I'm not fantastic with cooking, but eating I'm great at.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a bit of a problem with Tumblr. I've tried to give it up cold turkey, but I can't quite give it up entirely. Hopefully I have it under control now. I'm that person who thinks "I'll just have a quick look what's on here..." or "I just want to get to yesterday's posts" then realises it's been 6hrs and I've stopped blinking and it's way past my bedtime.
