Well here goes nothing...
I'm a geologist for an environmental consulting firm in
I love geology and pretty much anything science related in
I'm introverted I like thinking about talking more than doing it.
I'm not that shy and more than ready to make a fool of
I have a very sarcastic and dry sense of humor who never takes much
of anything too seriously.
I'm kind of clumsy and awkward, okay that's a lie I'm far more than
kind of clumsy and awkward.
I enjoy many geeky pursuits and not ashamed of the inner
I enjoy my beer like any good geologist but I don't really drink
all that much.
I love the outdoors: fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking,
golfing, rafting I love it all.
I also have a serious reading habit and have considered using my
stove for storage space (I'm not 100% sure how to turn it
An ISTP if that matters.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm satisfied in my position at work. But I do want to go
back to school for a Masters so I can do more geology than I do
right now. At least that's the plan for someday.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm not going to pretend and say I'm good at cooking or other
domestic like things. I am good at being organized, on time,
orderly, and working.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Usually my height and that I always seem to be smiling. They think
I'm up to something, but really it's my default. Also they notice
my general awkwardness, this I can't help.

Books: That's hard to nail down what my favorites are they're are
so many great ones out there, and the list changes from year to
year. This year's reading has been great but I'm sure there are
more to come. I'll read everything from history to lowbrow crime
noir, nothing is off limits.
Movies: I like all kinds of movies from all kinds of genres no
particular favorites. I can watch just about anything especially if
its got a bit of cheese factor, sometimes the commenting is better
than the actual flick. It's embarrassing the number of times I've
seen the entire Bring it On franchise.
Food: I eat anything I don't cook myself. Except mushrooms and
olives those suck at life.
Shows: I honestly prefer to read and I don't have cable. Netflix
has ruined TV for me. I can no longer just watch one show and wait
a week for the next airing. I now must consume entire seasons in
one sitting. Other than Netflix I typically stick with PBS shows
after the Nightly Business Report.
Music: Genres = Jazz, Blues, and Rock with some country on the
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think about thinking about things that are worth thinking about.
Yeah I don't know what that means either...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Frequenting my favorite restaurant of the moment, because I can't
cook. Then I usually find a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have one of every woodcase pencil I've ever used. It's like ten.
