I am easy-going, adventurous, and creative.
My Self-Summary
(Going to rewrite all this soon)
Well what to say, err I’m a fun guy, up for a laugh and like to
socialise, meet new and interesting, varied people, I suppose I’m a
bit of a geek, who isn’t nowadays!? I enjoy computer games and the
like, driving and cars generally, I’m not ashamed to say it but I’m
in love with my 1996 BMW 316 Coupe, it gets a lot of attention but
that’s probably because there isn’t much else to do on a Sunday
other than polish and wax right? I build my own computers for the
simple joy of it and plan to build more in the future although it
is a somewhat expensive hobby.
I like to exercise, weights and running outdoors, not on a
treadmill. Having just took part in the Great Eastern Run and got
what i consider to be a reasonable time of 1hour 43minutes i now
have something to build on and thoroughly enjoyed the whole
experience. I love good food and by that I mean healthy well
prepared enjoyable food that has passion in it, I enjoy cooking and
as my best pal is a veggie I have grown to enjoy the finer dishes
in the Quorn family.
I am something of a mature person when needed to be; I’m
professional in my job and always strive to be the best tradesman I
can, but I also have fun and the banter and camaraderie is
fantastic.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm in the Royal Air Force and maybe that would put some people
off, thinking along the lines of the normal 'squadie' stereotype,
I’m not, it’s a career but I’m slightly older than most of my
workmates of a similar standing and as such sometimes get called
boring, gramps, fossil and such, it’s just I did all the going out
to crappy clubs and getting drunk making a fool of myself between
the ages of 16 and 20.
I plan to go for commission in a year or two as I think I have what
it takes to join the exclusive club of RAF Officers. I hope to
become an engineering officer, as I’ve always wanted to do a degree
and its where the big money is.
I’m really good at
Most things computer or mechanical related.
The first things people usually notice about me
I look older than i am in a bad way.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
A big fan of sci-fi and action movies or books and what my friends
regard as an unhealthy fondness of anime or manga.
I really enjoy listening to music, current favourites are Band of
Horses, Jimmy Eat World, Blink182, Sum41 (this makes me sound like
a 15year old lad who hates his parents and loathes school, but it’s
not true, it’s more nostalgia) and loads of others, too many to
list, I like most genres, I simply enjoy good music. Spend a lot of
time just relaxing to music, or have it on when doing chores
especially classical to soothe the mind from the monotony of life’s
lesser tasks.
The six things I could never do without
Internet
Computer
Car
Friend
Companionship
Converse
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How i could go about designing and building a self sufficent eco
house.
On a typical Friday night I am
I tend to enjoy going out for a quiet drink or two to late bars
rather than clubs, as in fact I can’t stand them. I enjoy real ale
pubs with quaint village/town atmospheres for chilled out chatting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I write more text messages that i don't send than those that i do.
You should message me if
You find me interesting or you think i'll find you interesting.
