I work as a freelance illustrator and cartoonist with my own comics (one of them is about D&D, so that should give you some clue how nerdy I am) and some stuff that I've done for CollegeHumor. (I'll link if you're interested.)
If I could describe myself in two words, they'd be 'socially-capable hypernerd.' Are hyphens cheating? But seriously, I'm pretty damn nerdy, so uh, be prepared for that.
Current factoid: I'm doing a low-carb diet and I feel like crap 90% of the time, but the pounds are melting off. Goin' full Chris Pratt up in here.
I love learning and trying new things, obscure vocabulary words, acting like an idiot, hilarious GIFs of animals, and generally expanding my horizons. I do believe that every single person you ever meet can teach you something.
I'm honestly not looking to jump into anything in the near future. Having started a failed domestic experiment fairly early, I've got two young kids who don't live with me but are a big part of my life. I don't want or expect anyone to get involved with that, but that doesn't mean I don't want to meet some cool people to hang out with or hit the town.
(Edit: People are taking 'I'm not looking for something serious right now' the wrong way, so I'll clarify. Like most people, I'm looking for 'the one', but I'm looking to take the time to really get to know someone before anything becomes very serious. That's all.)
