My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who am I? I'm an INTJ, for those who follow the MBTI. An engineer, musician, salesman and basically a tremendous geek.

I enjoy some vidya games, card games, reading, movies, Disc Golf, real Golf, cooking, creating cocktails and then some. I easily get caught up in new hobbies...

I voraciously consume news and media of all sorts. Hapless Redditor, constantly streaming music or my latest Netflix binge.

I'm rough around the edges, but pulling it together nicely.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working a nice sales gig, preparing to take classes again, making the best of my free time. My job is extremely competitive, so my main focus has been performing well there in hopes of promotion. At that point finishing my degree becomes much more feasible to schedule.

I haven't finished school yet, and I'm not sure what my plans are in regards to that yet. I went to MSOE, then life happened. I ended up moving to Japan for a while and I had to put school on hold. After lots of hard working and creative planning upon my return, I gunned for a contract sales position in hopes of making a business connection to get a better job. Mission success. Sort of. Turns out entry level engineering sales wasn't all I'd hoped and now I'm back to more lucrative work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Formulating complex plans and contingencies. Always keep plan A in mind, but always have plan B, C and D in case things go awry.

-Problem solving, analytics, continual improvements, lien efficiency, coordination, communication, and researching.

-Being patient, determined, dedicated... Some call it being stubborn... I'll decide which is more accurate later XD

-Teaching people. Aforementioned patience helps with this.

-Explaining complex processes and situations in a more comprehensible manner.

-Gaming. Years of competitive play keeps your mind and reflexes sharp! It's actually a fair part of why I got my current job.

-Living without regrets. Everything we do is because of something we wanted at one point in time.

- Making things work. In every sense of the phrase.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - "Many people need desperately to receive this message: 'I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.'" Also, Jhonen Vasquez is my hero; if you know who he is without having to look it up, bonus points. Otherwise, random stuff: Christopher Moore, The Long Hard Road out of Hell, Chuck Palahniuk, and other people who wield great cynicism.

Movies/Shows - Movies I'm not very picky about, there's a lot of different factors I account for in what I call a good movie. Shows are pretty much likewise. I have an affinity for sci-fi, vampire flicks (Along the lines of Interview with a Vampire, Underworld, John Carpenter's films, etc. Twilight has publicly torn my love asunder.), comedy, and mindfucks (Eternal Sunshine, SLC Punk, Trainspotting, etc).

Music - Anything that took talent and thought; contained somewhere between a high school punk girl and an old guitar aficionado's playlist. Some of my current genre fascinations include variations of: (insert flavor of the month)core metals, progressive, industrial, electro, math metal, house, trance, djentdjentdjentgrooooovedjent, glitch/trip hop, nu-metal, some alternative, some remixes of popular stuff, non-garage punk, and some guilty pleasures (you're gonna hafta get on my good side for that ;P). I've been digging pretty much everything Rise Records puts out lately. For a sampling, my work playlist currently includes Deadmau5, Korn, Mumford and Sons, Awolnation, Whitechapel, Zomboy, Memphis May Fire, Cage the Elephant, Slipknot, Feed Me, Blink 182, Avatar, All that Remains, Infant Annihilator, Daft Punk, Of Monsters and Men, MC Chris, Mnemic, Porter Robinson, A Day to Remember, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Belle Humble, Born of Osiris, Hollywood Undead, Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Periphery, Vildhjarta, Steam Powered Giraffe, and Cake. See? That's what happens when I go and start talking about music...

Food - I love it all, you'll be hard pressed to find something I don't like. My favorite tends to be starch/meat combinations (meat and potatoes, sandwiches, burritos, etc). But for the record, I dislike: blue cheese, raw green peppers/carrots/broccoli, and I'm not much of one for most candy. I make some pretty fuckin' good soup.

I do a bit of gaming too. Recently playing Destiny, Borderlands Pre-Sequel, Diablo 3, WoW, GW2, LoL, FFXIV and some MTG here and there. Feel free to ask for my Steam/Battle.net/PSN info :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Dark roast coffee
- Reddit
- Spotify
- Diet Coke
- Rice cooker
- Multiple monitors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
For a while I was between a cat or dog, and am now considering when I may get a Fennec Fox. Cutest shit ever, google it. Wait... sugar glider? German Shepherd? Maine Coon? Fffffuuuuu--

Comfortable silence is a beautiful thing.

My love-hate relationship with the Oxford comma.

"The good die young and the great change the course of history."

Why are people searching for their other half? Are they missing part of themselves? Fuck that. I'd prefer to find a complimentary whole.

And most of the time, probably lost on Reddit or reading the news.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
doing whatever comes up? I usually have something planned for the weekend, I try to keep weekdays open though.

I'm not the partier I used to be. I've grown out of the bar scene for the most part, though I still try to go visit some of that crowd every few weeks. I'm mostly content finding something to do at home, or with friends.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have an idea of where you're going and what you want in life, and have passions. Be happy with yourself before you're happy with me!

You've got a strong personality and understand that if you don't take what you want from life, you'll never get it.

You know a good karaoke joint.

P.S. For the love of god, if you're gonna message me, make it more than "Hey, what's up?" Sure, I can carry a conversation, but I'd rather see your interest and initiative.
