My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a fun, funny and laid back – or that’s what my friends tell me. I love the sunrise, the sunset and the view that I cannot get from my deck, trail running in the rain, getting muddy, and hiking in the beautiful Colorado Mountains. I am not a Colorado Native but I act like one :) I have lived in Colorado for almost 16 years and I have had some great Colorado adventures and I can't wait to have more. I am super active, exploiting most of what Colorado has to offer. I am always planning a weekend adventure that includes being outside, or outside, or outside.

During the week I am usually at the gym ... 5 days a week ... Summer Bodies are made in the winter :)

I have been described as the kind of girl that you can take anywhere … I can go from the office, to the gym, to the sports bar, camping and hiking, to the club, out to dinner, to a Black Tie event or just chill out at home, and not miss a beat.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work for a local Media Company in the Tech Center. I love what I do; my work is interesting, challenging and stressful. One of the perks is that I am a virtual employee - I can work anywhere at any time.

During my spare time I volunteer at a local No Kill Animal Shelter - and I love it. There is no greater reward for me than to spend some time with the animals at the shelter - it has changed my life.

I have 2 grown children - I LOVE being an "empty nester" and I have full intentions of embracing every movement of it :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Eating all the chocolate, speeding, making GF organic enchiladas, planning trips and over packing for them, always having the radio on, spending $500.00 at REI and working from home in my Tinker Bell PJ's.

Things that I am not good at: cooking for one, completely reading instructions on how to assemble things, riding my mountain bike, deciding what to wear, drinking only one cup of coffee and yoga.
The first things people usually notice about me

I am a huge fan of books that I call "Brain Candy" they are interesting and based in fantasy … nothing too serious. Books like The Maze Runner Series, The Divergent Series, Harry Potter, Artemis Foul and The Hunger Games.

I like to watch movies, but lately I have not had the time to watch them - I did go and Guardians of the Galaxy and thought that it was fantastic.

A few bands and artist that I enjoy … Johnny Lang, Awolnation, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Adele, Snoop Dogg, Airborne Toxic Event, Linkin Park, Lil Wayne, Rise Against, My Chemical Romance, easy e, Dr. Dre, Rihanna, Pink, Fun., Katy Perry, Young the Giant, Black Keys, Beastie Boys, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Eve 6, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Foo Fighters, Eric Clapton, Sum 41, Paramore, Alex Clare, ZZ Ward, Thirty Seconds to Mars, SHM, Calvin Harris, Sam Smith .... right now I am a little obsessed with John Newman.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My Backpack
2. My Hiking boots / Trail Running Shoes
3. The Gym – keeps me sane
4. My Friends, Family and the Pup
5. Gluten free Pancake mix
6. A funny book or movie
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mixed Martial Arts and how bad I am at it.

I just picked up my MICROspikes at REI ... bring on the snow :)

How stoked my daughter is about her new Hockey gear - Love College Hockey!

How long it will take for my latest trail running "mishap" to heal :(

Coconut Noosa ... if you have never tried Noosa you have to ...

Why I believe the best part of a family vacation is orchestrating a squirt gun, water balloon, silly string fight with the kids ... that leads me to being grounded by my younger sister.

I am always trying to think of witty things to write here - but I am not sure that anyone really reads them. ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At the grocery store. At the gym. At the University my daughter attends watching her play Hockey or Lacrosse. At my BFF’s house for Friday Night Poker. At Target. Watching a movie from red box. Out with the Girls for happy hour or dinner or both. Packing my backpack for an early Saturday morning hike. At home thankful that the week is finally over.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am very close to my parents - I am so touched by the unconditional love, respect, trust and wisdom that they have shown me, I just wish that I would have realized how incredible they both truly are when I was 21.

You’re a great guy … actually … You’re an amazing guy. You’re smart, interesting, fun, have a wicked sense of humor and you're passionate about something (work, art, conservation, volunteering, your community, family/friends). You believe in a healthy lifestyle, working out, eating right. You are the type of guy that would get up at 6:00 am on a Saturday to help your friends move in 30 degree temperatures, that is just who you are.
