Hi random people from the internet, my name is Pat. I am working as a Software engineer in the Cambridge area. I was a computer science major with an unofficial minor in psych.

I have no real idea what to write here anymore. I am a nerdy kid who watches far too much anime, and plays far too many games (if that's even possible).

Most likely if you are easily offended, I probably will offend you. I have a rather crude and immature sense of humor. I swear a lot - I tried to cut down, it failed. If you can't tell the difference if someone is joking or seriously believes what they are saying, and have a hard time with sarcasm, then you should probably definitely message me. I'm sure it'll work fantastic.

My friends ask me on a regular basis "How have you not been kicked out of somewhere before in your life...?" I am pretty sure I have no shame and do not need alcohol to do stupid things -.-.

A lot of my personality is probably contradictory to itself. In groups I will play the court jester, and in a personal 1 on 1 conversation love discussing the effects that technology has created on how we view "social" and interact with people.

My statements about smoking / drinking / drugs is not a lie. I do not believe I have a moral high ground. I have done neither. It was my life choice thus I don't expect those around me to follow it - we'll just probably get along better.

Beyond that....messages they work wonders and I don't really have shame.

This is a rather strange question to ask. Currently..? Working for an awesome software development company, writing code like a boss.

Outside of working, watching anime, playing games and embarrassing myself (and my friends).

Who wrote most of the OkCupid questions, and how they help me decide anything. Seriously, how can no one be willing to admit private things on the internet in their profile but detail their sex life in questions.

How this site most likely satisfies a bunch of peoples voyeuristic urges.

Why I haven't started just putting fake answers for all my questions just to add funny comments.

Working until hopefully 6 (I've learned getting out then is not as easy as it sounds) then generally getting ready for D&D or trying to plan with how to deal with what's going to happen in the next weekends session....our DM is a vicious person :(.

That the most soothing thing for me is someone running their hands through my hair (this might be why I keep it long), and asking to run your hands through it might make you my favorite person.

Try to write something more than the normal....if you have a sarcastic or off-color sense of humor do not restrain it, I will feel less guilty about replying in a similar nature, and generally can carry on a conversation better when it doesn't feel like answering a Q&A.

If you don't mind someone whose rather eccentric, sarcastic, and probably enjoys gaming / anime too much (is this even possible). Mainly just looking to meet people for friendship, perhaps more as I am single, just have not met the right person.

That or...well if the idea of playing laser tag still appeals to you....and don't mind the fact that you'll be playing against like 8-15 year olds who call you bitch. Added bonus if you'd still feel accomplished winning against them.

Or a gaming partner, as games become so much more exciting with more people.

Please note: please...message me. This whole "rated highly", "requesting to meet" and other weird ass things this site allows you to do confuse me and I am unsure what I'm supposed to do in response. It's far easier to just send a message saying "Hey I liked this on your profile", or "Hey I read your profile and would like to go do ". When I get a message on my phone telling me someone gave you a 4 out of 5 or "wants to meet you" I'm like man...that's a bit creepers.

I try to reply to all messages - this is not a myth or lie. If you take the time to write more than "Hi", I will give you the courtesy of a return message, and maybe even if you just write hi. Though it's appreciated if you at least give me a starting point.
