I love Shakespeare, good manners, warmish summers, weathervanes, old lighthouses, rose gardens, Bermuda shorts, and waterfront dining.
I'm at that stage of dating life, which I like to call dating purgatory, where a person tries to stay positive after a string of bad first dates. It's not complete hell because at least I have some witty stories to tell my family. Honestly, I think humanity has lost its touch.
So, for the sake of not having to endure another tedious first date….
I'm looking for someone who: puts a little effort into dating (i.e. good restaurant manners, appropriate table talk, chivalry, that sort of thing), is interested in attending cultural events with me (such as performances at the opera, symphony, and/or theatre), and reads a book every once in while. Despite my literary background, I'm not a complete book snob. I can deal with your enthusiasm for science-fiction, horror, mystery, and non-fiction. I am kind of a film snob, though, so be prepared.
