I am an eternal optimist, caring, compassionate, have a sense of humour and like to have fun along this path of learning and experience. I am seeking a gentleman with old fashioned values who likes to live in a peaceful, harmonious environment free of heated debates but rather open-minded discussions. You enjoy nature and spending time walking through conservation areas and along country roads year round. I am a one man woman looking for a one woman man. Honesty, faithfulness and loyalty are on the top of my list along with good and effective communication. I enjoy walking, swimming, bike riding, dancing, living in the country and visiting the city. I love to travel occasionally, enjoy reading self-help, spiritual or inspirational books. Have read The Shack by William P. Young, Masters of the Far East by Baird T. Spalding, How to Win Friends and Influence People, The Power of Postive Thinking, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff and It's All Small Stuff, and currently reading A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle.

I am spiritual (and reality checked) by nature and enjoy (and teach) meditation to stay relaxed and focused. I write poetry and am working on a book of inspirational poems. I enjoy stimulating conversation on a variety of subjects and like to stay versed on current events.

I have two wonderful children, a daughter who is married and blessed me with a grandson one year ago, and a son who is making a great life of his own.

I might appear a little shy at first but once I get to know you, I will reveal more and more of my colourful personality. My friends describe me as being very easy-going, nurturing, funny at times, serious at times, a great listener, a great advisor, supportive and above all, loyal. I am careful with finances and debt free other than a mortgage.

I can be spontaneous and philosophical at times. I try to see the good in all people and the lesson in every experience. I am postive by nature and tend to see my cup as overflowing. I am a strong person most of the time but also need a strong shoulder to lean on. I am on a new path of living a healthier lifestyle by eating better and exercising more to lose some unwanted pounds. My partner would need to be both an inspiration and support to my efforts.

I am working on advancing my career prior to retirement, investing wisely, redecorating my condo, getting to know my adorable grandson, working on improving my health and last but certainly not least, looking for that special someone to share all of my happiness with.

I'm really good at listening, offering support and encouragement, making you feel special and loved, decorating my home, keeping my home clean and organized (not ocd by any means), balancing my checkbook, swimming, being a mother and grandmother, writing poetry and staying balanced.

People usually notice my smile. I like to make eye contact and smile at people. I know how wonderful a bright and genuine smile from someone feels like. People always comment that I look well put together. Lots of compliments on my style of dress and asked where I purchased things. My sisters always ask for advice in putting together outfits and accessories. LOL!!!

Favourite books. One has to be Sacajewea of course which is a book about a native Indian woman who played a significant role in the success of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Most favourite has been a series of books called Masters of the Far East about an expedition in the late 1800's where a group of American theologians travelled to the far East to study Eastern philosophy and the exceptional experiences they encountered. Never looked at life the same after these books. Just read a New York Times Best Seller by William P. Young called the Shack about a man's journey to find God after an excruciatingly painful experience. Currently reading another New York Times bestseller called A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle about the letting go of ego.

Glad to be home and have the weekend ahead of me. Friday night is downtime after a long week which rejuvenates my energy to fill in the rest of the weekend with my personal life. If I had a partner, I would defintely spend it with him.
