***Note for October 2012: The first half of the month is great for Philadelphia and Manayunk Restaurant Weeks! We could also find an Oktoberfest celebration, go do a wine or beer tasting tour, catch the next home Eagles game, or see some live music. Just love making suggestions for the season!
Yo, Philly! I'm back! I've been living in Hermosa Beach / LA for the past 4 years, but I actually just moved cross country home to Philadelphia a few months ago and am ready to find my hometown hunny... is it you? Before that, I was in South Jersey, Virginia, DC, and traveling around the country even for a year for work, so it's nice to finally be back after bouncing around the country for 14 years and I can't wait to start this new chapter and adventure in my life. I just think it will be better with you! ;)
A little bit about me? I am outgoing, unstoppable, and ADORKABLE!!!! ;) I'm pretty sure some guy I had a random date with in LA stole that word from me to advertise "New Girl" and think I am due some royalties! I am a ball of energy and you've probably never met anyone like me and never will. I'm intelligent, outgoing, and ballsy... a sponge for new places and new things... am witty, creative, artistic, talented, and always find a way to make it happen. I live everyday like it's my last and go out on a limb to take chances. My future is important, but so is making today last. And everything has a purpose, even if we don't know it, yet. "Everything comes gradually and at it's appointed hour." "When the half gods go, the gods arrive."
Your first email to me is our first date! Catch my attention! Be creative and make me laugh if you do write!!! If you can't stand out or catch my attention? You're not the right guy for me. Grammar, punctuation, wit, sincerity, humor, and boldly just asking me out directly for that night are what works best for me. Thanks! ;)
For our second date then? Dinner, bar hopping, hitting up a concert or a show, wine tasting, hanging out at the beach, going to a Philly sports game, attending an event... something that's fun for us. Just not a "coffee date" or a movie. Going to a coffee shop where I would otherwise get work done is not romantic to me in any way and a movie does not allow us to interact. Let's make our time together memorable even if it doesn't turn into something more.
The lyrics to this song seem perfect to me for how I approach dating: "Taking Chances"
"Don't know much about your life
Don't know much about your world but
Don't wanna be alone tonight
On this planet they call Earth
You don't know about my past and
I don't have a future figured out
And maybe this is goin' too fast
And maybe it's not meant to last
But what do you say to takin' chances?
What do you say to jumpin' off the edge?
Never knowin' if there's solid ground below
Or a hand to hold or hell to pay
What do you say? What do you say?"
So tell me about your life... I'll tell you about mine... and let's take a chance together! ;)
