I like outdoors sorts of adventures - walking, climbing, canoeing, camping, that sort of thing - but you can find adventures just as easily in London, or anywhere, if you're willing to discover new places, talk to people, and do stuff on a whim. It's always the things you didn't plan that make the best stories afterwards.
I finished a PhD in English a couple of years ago, so it's probably not surprising that I like to read, and that I go to the theatre as often as I can. Likewise, I enjoy going to galleries and exhibitions. I'm now a researcher working on environmental sustainability, a subject that is important for me. In the past I've enjoyed writing and making short films, something I'd like to go back to.
I love good food and wine - I'm a really keen cook, and I enjoy cooking for friends. I like lots of sports, and I keep myself in good shape - I'll try my hand at anything, but skiing is a real passion of mine.
I like music: to listen to it, play it, and dance to it. I don't go clubbing as much as I used to (drum and bass was my thing!), but I do like to dance - salsa, techno, swing, dnb, ceilidh, hip-hop - I'll give any of them a good go.
