My self-summary
My name is Marcus, and I'm kind of a cool dude. How's that for an attention-grabbing line?

I'm a college student living in Fort Lauderdale, sharing an apartment with two awesome roommates. I work at my campus in the school library and occasionally intern for a local video game developer. Video games are my life and my passion.

Personality-wise, I'm kind, thoughtful, respectful, a great talker, an even better listener, funny, witty, somewhat shy, and charismatic as all hell. I'm also a huge nerd. What I'm not is a thug, ghetto, freeloader, man-child, or a misogynistic assclown. I'm a mature adult but I'm also still very much a kid at heart and can be pretty playful.

I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, nor have I ever and I never plan to. That probably sounds a bit lame to some, but I don't need that stuff to have fun and simply have no interest in them. I have no problem if you drink (responsibly) but, smoking/drugs are a no-go.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working on my bachelor's in Game Art & Desgin the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. In my spare time, I write for my video game blog, which you can view by going here: (hurray for shameless plugs!) I write ALOT, and want to become a video game journalist and possibly an author. I also frequent the gym, to keep my body from being not-in-shape.
I’m really good at
Writing, playing video games, (that's probably not a skill, but whatever), public speaking (gasp!), and being absolutely ridiculous.
The first things people usually notice about me
Besides my general existence, hell if I know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:The Adventures of Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn, The Catcher in the Rye, The Harry Potter Series, The Hunger Games Trilogy, Goosebumps (they're still a fun read), Les Miserables, The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm also an avid comic book fan and regularly keep up with numerous series from both DC and Marvel (though Marvel is my preferred).

Movies: Jurassic Park, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Indiana Jones 1-3, The Avengers, Die Hard, Spider-Man 2, The Godfather, Back to the Future Trilogy, Ghostbusters 1 & 2, Goodfellas, Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, Forrest Gump, Anything Pixar, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Dark Knight, X2, Titanic, The Notebook (Yeah, I'm a softy sometimes), The Original Star Wars Trilogy, Alien(s), The Thing, Paranormal Activity, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Scarface, Dirty Harry, All things Quentin Tarantino, The Sandlot (You're killin' me, Smalls!), Spaceballs

TV: WWE Raw/Smackdown, Game of Thrones, South Park, Breaking Bad, 90's era Simpson's, Arrested Development, The Office (US), The Boondocks, Robot Chicken, and numerous cartoons and anime. That one episode of Firefly that I watched on Netflix a while back was pretty good too.

Music: : I'm all over the place, but I'm a huge fan of classic rock and REAL hip-hop - as in with actual lyricism, talent, and substance. I also love alternative rock, grunge, metal, some pop/R&B, and the Peanuts theme song.

Food There's very little I don't eat and I'm a pretty adventurous eater. I have a huge sweet tooth and a certifiable chocoholic. I also LOVE vegetables, which probably helps keep the potential fatness caused my my sugar rush at bay.
The six things I could never do without
1. Oxygen:How this wouldn't be anyone's first answer, I'll never know.

2. Food: Turns out it's pretty tasty. Also, if you don't eat enough of it, you'll, like, totally die or something.

3. Shelter: Keeps the rain and cold out; and in sunny south Florida, "cold" equates to roughly 60 degrees. Also keeps out the cray-crays. Mostly.

4. Video Games: It's my passion and livelihood, so a world without them is a scary thing indeed.

5. Wrestling I can't stand missing even a single episode of Raw/Smackdown so Lord (Alfred Hayes) knows what I'd do without it entirely. And if you got that little reference, you're already on my good side.

6. Books: Reading is fundamental, folks.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, and a medley of completely random/ridiculous/hilarious/absurd and down-right off-the-wall thoughts. I have an extremely active imagination.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not out with my friends engaging in all manner of tomfoolery, I'm usually enjoying a low-key evening at home. That tends to involve playing video games, reading, or writing. I'm not a party boy or into the nightlife at all - I'll take a small get-together with good friends over insane nights of debauchery.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
So get this, I once accidentally struck an elderly man with an ATV once. Don't worry, he lived - for about three years. THEN he died, though I'm pretty sure it wasn't my fault. He just broke his leg or something in that accident, so there's no way that I could have had a hand in his demise.

I mean, he was pretty damn old so he was living on borrowed time to begin with. Now that I think about it, the rush and excitement of the whole incident probably made him feel more alive than he had been in centuries, so I, in all likelihood, EXTENDED his lifespan more than anything - totally.

So about that date?
