I am successful, eccentric, and sharp.

My Self-Summary

There is humor in everything, and I'll find it. Laugh at anything, even if it's dark. I love animals, all creatures great and small; my dogs are my buddies. I'm into politics, and I love to listen to everyone's ideas. I live for music, of all types - I'll go straight from the concert hall to a rock show or a coffee house. I love to dance, make music, sing, read, have a relaxed night of introspection or an opportunity to paint the town varying shades of red. I love to dive, explore, absorb every experience that I can, and do anything that takes me someplace.

I'm weird. You're forewarned.

What I’m doing with my life

I am working for a personal injury law firm in West Palm Beach, and I'm very happy with my job. I open new cases for the firm, and do a lot of work for certain marketing strategies. I enjoy my work. This should eventually lead toward becoming a paralegal, and possibly law school in order to take the step to attorney - but that's in due time. I'm happy for the here and now.

I like to drive, scuba dive, walk my dogs, travel, read, and listen to music just about every waking moment.

My life is starts and stops - intensity and pause. I scream through work and I stop to see the sights, smell the flowers and the beer wafting out into the street.

I’m really good at

Acting like I know what I'm talking about. I'm knowledgable, but if I missed something, it hardly matters. I can sell snow to reindeer.

I'm also a half-decent singer, and a world-class, champion whistler. I'll outwhistle anyone you know, bring it on.

The first things people usually notice about me

People always tell me I remind them of someone else. Usually, this is good - I'd hate to remind people of someone who ran over their dog or slapped their grandmother.

I'm white as hell with a pleasantly baritone voice. Those would be two easily-noticable features.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I have many favorite authors - Kurt Vonnegut, Carl Hiaasen, Tim Dorsey, H.P. Lovecraft, Chuck Palahniuk, Hunter S. Thompson, Isaac Asimov - if a page has words on it written in a language I can at least struggle through, I'll read it.

Music: all. Fleet Foxes, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Joshua Bell, The Decemberists, Stars, Blind Guardian, Deep Purple, The Postal Service, The Mountain Goats, The Sound of Animals Fighting, Calexico, The Fratellis, We Are Scientists, Daft Punk, Black Sabbath, The Cat Empire, The Raconteurs, Dmitri Shostakovich, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Journey, Styx, The Eagles, Procol Harum, Sunset Rubdown.

The six things I could never do without

Things I could never be without:

-My family. Maddening though they may be, the family you have is the only family you get, so pay attention to them while you have them. You could learn something.
-My friends. Lifelong or short-lived, every insane person I've met has enriched me in some way.
-My pets. Really, my furry friends fall under the heading of "family", but I'll include them here to give them their day in the sun, where they can lay in the warm grass and pant happily.
-My books. Every page in my bookcase is dear to me, every tome is priceless. An ever-growing collection I'm proud to call my own. (This sounds pretentious, which is part of the fun of being a reader. No lie.)
-My car. Or, well, a car if not my current one. Door to the world outside, the very symbol of independence. My love affair with the automobile is eternal, and dammit, it's American.
-My computer. Another door to the globe. Importer of information and exporter of my voice. Also, the dorkiest answer possible. Hell yes.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Why people are so self-destructive. Why people look the way they do, based on their genetic background. Why politics is so damned fun. Why Stephen Hawking is so awesome.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I was, and still sort of am, a theater kid. I sang, I danced, I wore togas onstage. I made a proper fool of myself back in the day, and it was awesome.

You should message me if

You're willing to discuss the ways of the universe, or you have something good to debate. If you want an intellectual and abnormal view on the world. If you're into strong coffee and good food, strong liquor and good books.

Or if you're bored. I like mail.
