My self-summary

I've been lucky in life. I have my own flat in my favourite city and an improbably excellent job in marketing. I enjoy smart people, elaborate plans and basic human kindness.

I don't do gender roles.
What I’m doing with my life
Listening to a lot of shouty French singers of late.

I also spend an unreasonable amount of time trying to turn my phone into a remote control for things.
I’m really good at
Irrelevant theatrics. Spreadsheets. Remembering my umbrella.
The first things people usually notice about me
Higher res in real life. I'd like to think I dress well, but then wouldn't we all.

INTJ if you're in to that sort of thing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Reading feels to me like the surest path to the soul, but music the quickest.

The Roots, Dr. Dog, Vampire Weekend, Elbow, Feist, Joanna Newsom, UNKLE, Grizzly Bear, Beirut, Nick Cave, Beth Orton, Neutral Milk Hotel, Haim, Janelle Monae, Man Man, Portishead, The Mountain Goats, Aesop Rock, Fleet Foxes, Stars of Track and Field, Bon Iver, Camille, St. Vincent, POLIÇA, Iron & Wine, Magenta Skycode, Pulp, PJ Harvey, Laura Marling, Slow Club, My Morning Jacket, Page France, Jake Bugg, Little Dragon, Jurassic 5, Spoon, Woodhands, Beck, Modest Mouse, Haim, Steely Dan, the Beatles, Air, Beth Jeans Houghton, Two Door Cinema Club, the Beach Boys, Rizzle Kicks, Dusty Springfield, Jose Gonzalez, School of Seven Bells, Efterklang, the Decemberists, Django Django, The Black Keys, Little Joy, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Nick Drake, King Biscuit Time, Passion Pit, Everything Everything, Fake Blood, Minotaur Shock, Alt-J, Citizen Cope, Psapp, Owen Pallet, Findlay, The Staves, Justice, Devendra Banhart, Cake, Gorillaz, Active Child, The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Central Band.

I like classical but tend to prefer individual works over oeuvres. Debussy's Clair de Lune, Holst's Planets, and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue are a bit good.

I read English at University, and so enjoy most books. Big fan of Italo Calvino, Mervyn Peake, Graham Greene and (early) T.S. Eliot. Keep meaning to try Murakami. I prefer modernism and postmodernism. Poststructuralism is fun to think about.

Big on food - love both eating out and cooking.
The six things I could never do without
- Springtime
- Ambition
- A ruddy good set of stationery
- Honesty
- Double bed
- Hot pasta
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Gender, politics, people, economics, travel, semiology; all manner of stuff to do with media, tech and marketing.

I have plenty of opinions, and enjoy discussing ideas. Not one for ideologues.

Running, and the future.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm intermittently attracted to men, and I'm fine with that.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–28

You should message me if
You're fearless, smarter than me and/or understand the correct use of the Oxford Comma.

And if you've rated me all pretty like then you may as well.
