My self-summary
Thanks for taking the time to read this. :) I've got a very clear philosophy; expect the worst but strive for the best. I guess you can say I'm a realist. I have no problem rolling with the waves and taking whatever life throws at me, but that doesn't mean I'm going to sit around and let life drown me out. I enjoy calling up friends and seeing what they're up to on a moments notice, but I also enjoy making plans in advance.

I guess I'll just list off some random things.

My favorite color is orange. I spent a year doing study abroad in Wales, UK. I definitely enjoy a good football or hockey game, but I don't follow the franchises religiously. Drinking is enjoyable, but I'm not obsessive over it. I play videogames when bored and I don't regret it for an instant. I collect Deadpool comics and I've read through The Sandman series more times than I care to admit.

I think that's enough random facts. If you're interested in me, feel free to read more. If that doesn't satisfy your hunger, hit me up.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated last spring and have spent the time moving and job jumping. I'm applying to Grad schools with the ultimate goal of becoming a professor. In the meantime I do odd jobs for various theater companies and am asked repeatedly to assist people with their resumes. I also write a lot, and intend to someday get published, but I'm not banking my future savings on it.
I’m really good at
writing, or at least that's what people tell me. I also am told that I can make anyone laugh, which is good because I love putting smiles to peoples faces. I'm pretty solid on the grill and can cook a delicious breakfast if I've got the supplies.
The first things people usually notice about me
... is that I'm a white male? Or how skinny I am. Obviously my appearance is a large part of the first impression. But once we start talking I think people notice that I'm very open about myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Currently re-reading The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series. I love just about everything Neil Gaiman, and I've read my fair share of Stephen King. I guess I generally get a kick out of what I've been calling "Hidden World" literature, where there is something more, something magical, just beyond what we perceive as the "everyday". Harry Potter is a good example of that as well. I also like Chuck Palahniuk, Douglas Adams (hence the rereading), The Strain Trilogy, and am always down for suggestions!

When it comes to movies I've got a pretty decent spectrum. Big Fish and The Nightmare Before Christmas gives me my Burton fix. Scott Pilgrim vs The World is the perfect genre smasher for me, it's hysterical. I'm a sucker for comedy and nostalgia, and nothing does that for me like The Muppets. Any action movie will do, they're a joy to watch but only a few *cough* Taken *cough* ever made me stagger away from the theater completely blown away. I also enjoy most superhero movies.

For shows I enjoy How I Met Your Mother, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Archer, Southpark (Though I'm a season or two behind right now), Scrubs, Wilfred, and pretty much anything else on Netflix. Also watch Doctor Who, because who doesn't love having all of time and space at your disposal?

I don't listen to much music... No that's not true. I listen to TONS of music, but about 80% of it is on the radio while driving. I'm content with so many different genres, the only thing I actively avoid is Screamo. If I am forced to pick it tends to be Rock, but recently I've been enjoying a lot of calming instrumental music too. If you have any suggestions, I love new stuff.

I love almost all food, so long as I can accurately guess the ingredients in it. I'd take spicy over sweet anyday.
The six things I could never do without
Please note that this is in no particular order of importance.

1. Humor. It's such a huge part of my life and I don't want to imagine a world without it.
2. Friends. I've got their back and they've got mine, no matter how much we bitch about each other.
3. Chips and Salsa. It's seriously a staple of my diet.
4. My car.
5. Books.
6. My phone? It's pretty useful.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working mostly. Theatre has a lot more stuff for me to do on weekends. But if I'm not working I might be hanging out at a friends house having a drink, playing some game, out at the movies, or sleeping. All are fair game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm having back surgery in February. Its a preventative treatment, should but me out of operation for about a month, but I'll spring back (ha, pun intended). I've told a few people and their tone immediately changes when I mention it, which is annoying. I'm not trying to hide/ignore it, but I don't want to be defined by it either. So now you know.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 19–27
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You'd like to chat a bit. Seriously, contact me. Don't wait for me to magically notice you stalking my profile. Take some initiative, I like/appreciate that.

If I initiated conversation with YOU, it means exactly that: I want to talk to you. I'm looking for something lasting, and I can't expect to have a lasting ANYTHING (Friendship, relationship, whatever-else-ship) if we can't communicate well.

I will never, EVER initiate conversation with hopes of a booty call. I'm not opposed to one, it's just not what I'm looking for. I hope you can understand the difference.

Hit me up if you are into Yoga or want to try it with me. I just started about a month ago, but I really enjoy it so far. Also, I've always wanted to learn a dance skill, so let me know if you're into that.
