My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I prefer to learn things by doing them, rather than just being told how to do them. I've been single since April. I'm very quiet in person most of the time. Like, quieter than you're thinking right now after reading that. I should say that up front because many people seem to have a problem with it. I am attempting to learn guitar and bass, but it's slow going. I meditate. I sing in the Knoxville Choral Society. I have three cats. I have been playing video games since I was 4. I like reading fantasy, horror, and sci-fi. I listen mainly to metal. I sometimes take classes in a dance called Brazilian zouk. I hate getting up early, but work necessitates it. I've been to France and Poland. I've been in Knoxville since 1995 but am not "southern" or "country" at all. Not a sports fan. If any of the above sounds remotely interesting, hello. Let's talk.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been doing payment posting at University Physicians Association (a medical billing office) since November 2013, and I'm hoping to move into medical coding once the company expands to include that.

Also trying to improve my guitar and bass skills - I seem to be getting slightly better but I'm still not to the point where I'd feel comfortable playing in front of others...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing mostly. I sing really low bass. Think Peter Steele and that's about my vocal range. Though my speaking voice doesn't sound abnormally low or anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm fairly tan for someone of predominantly Scotch-Irish descent. Incidentally, I don't see why others obsess over getting a tan. As the owner of one, I can tell you that they're way overrated.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'll skip the "essentials" (food, water, etc.) since they're assumed already. In no particular order:

1. Friends
2. Music
3. My cats
4. Something to read
5. Music
6. More music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why US states are divided into counties (meaning a territory governed by a count) but don't have counts. I want to run for count!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably at a friend's house or at home practicing guitar. My Fridays tend to be fairly quiet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I may or may not have "Gangnam Style" and/or "What Does the Fox Say?" in my iTunes library...

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're not looking for a fling or FWB, because seriously, have some self-respect.

Your interests do not include "goin' muddin'" or similar.

You live in Knoxville or pretty close thereto. I want to find someone I can actually get together with in person on a regular basis.

You know, unlike seemingly most people on here, that "wherefore" does not mean "where".

You consider yourself "weird" or "unconventional" or something like that.

You want to recommend me some new music/books to check out.

And the "favorite books" section of your profile doesn't say "I don't read".
