My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, my name is James, and here are some reasons why I'm pretty awesome:

I'm very intelligent and prefer to learn by involving myself in an activity rather than sitting back and passively absorbing information.

Music is one of my biggest interests; I've been singing since high school and am now slowly learning guitar and bass. I mostly listen to rock and metal, as well as game soundtracks, and a little bit of pop. A full list of artists I like would be extremely long, but some examples are below, with more available upon request. :)

I enjoy video games, but don't have much time to play them nowadays. Examples of games I like are down in the favorites section.

As far as books go, I like horror, science fiction, and fantasy.

I like movies, but prefer to watch them with people rather than alone.

I'm interested in meeting someone with similar interests. If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to ask! I'm looking for a serious relationship, not a fling or FWB, so I'd like to meet someone looking for the same. When I find someone, though, I want to move at a a pace that they're comfortable with and not make them feel pressured or rushed into a relationship. So we should definitely get to know each other a bit first!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do payment posting at University Physicians Association (a medical billing office), and I'm hoping to move into medical coding once the company expands to include that.

Also trying to improve my guitar and bass skills - I seem to be getting slightly better but I'm still not to the point where I'd feel comfortable playing in front of others...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing mostly. I sing really low bass. Think Peter Steele and that's about my vocal range. Though my speaking voice doesn't sound abnormally low or anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm fairly tan for someone of predominantly Scotch-Irish descent. Incidentally, I don't see why others obsess over getting a tan. As the owner of one, I can tell you that they're way overrated.

Or maybe my awesome mustache/goatee. I don't know, you tell me.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'll skip the "essentials" (food, water, etc.) since they're assumed already. In no particular order:

1. Friends
2. Music
3. My cats
4. Something to read
5. Video games
6. More music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why US states are divided into counties (meaning a territory governed by a count) but don't have counts. I want to run for count!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'd tell you, but the first rule is that I'm not supposed to talk about it.

Okay, you got me. I'm probably at a friend's house or at home watching reruns of Monk.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

You know, unlike seemingly most people on here, that "wherefore" does not mean "where".

You consider yourself "weird" or "unconventional" or something like that.

You want to recommend me some new music/books to check out.

And the "favorite books" section of your profile doesn't say "I don't read".
