UPDATE 1/21/2016: Right now I have a lot on my plate with working 10 hour days and getting ready for this event season. I am more than willing to talk to new people, but I am not going to be starting any new relationships right now. Sorry.
I am a woman who has my head on straight, and my baggage (which everyone has, if they tell you different they are either lying or an alien) stays with me and no one else.
I am an artist, a singer, a nature lover, a bibliophile. A student of religions and philosophy. I play games of the video and board variety, and love sharing the things that I am passionate about with everyone who comes into my life.
I am in a Poly relationship with my husband, rusted4justice
What I’m doing with my life
Keeping myself occupied. I find people who don't have hobbies confusing, since I have many. Painting, making jewelry, sewing, learning, all things that I do. Even if I choose not to be doing something productive, I will still go for a walk at the nature park, or read a new book.
I’m really good at
Creating beautiful pieces of art, either as jewelry or calligraphy. Singing at karaoke or just to myself. Listening, and helping when I can. Being the voice of reason.
The first things people usually notice about me
Honestly, I have no idea. Sometimes I get comments about the giant book that I am carrying around. Other times, it's my multicolored hair. Depending on my outfit, it might be my figure. I guess you will have to find out for yourself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books... All the books. Fantasy, art, history. Sci-fi is hard for me to get into, although there have been exceptions. Same goes for horror. I don't like fictional books about war, but I have no problems reading history books.
My favorite movies are Labyrinth, Legend and Pan's Labyrinth, although I am also a big fan of the Lord of the Ring series, and comic book movies. All the comic book movies! As you might have noticed, fantasy as a genre is my thing.
My favorite shows are Downton Abbey and Vikings, Sherlock and Penny Dreadful. And Supernatural, as long as you accept that their world revolves around demon possession and daddy issues... Because it does, and it's amazing.
I don't have a favorite music, since I love almost anything at different points in time. I would more say that there are certain genres of music that I don't listen to often, which would be bluegrass/country and punk.
My favorite food is either pad thai or chicken makhani, but I am a big fan of most ethnic food. I can't really handle spicy food anymore, but I enjoy it in VERY small doses.
The six things I could never do without
My husband, who cherishes me every day.
My books, because they are the knowledge of the world.
Music, because it lightens the spirit.
Food, to nourish my body
Water, for it is the source of life
My cat, for the crazy Valkyrie protects me from anything. Mostly plastic and fairies. And hair ties.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The next beautiful thing that I can make. The thoughts that ramble along in my head. Whatever book I am currently reading. Who sings that song?!?
On a typical Friday night I am
Since I don't work the weekends, it's almost always spent painting or crafting something. Occasionally going out for karaoke or playing board games with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love Sailor Moon, and Gilmore Girls, and secretly make jewelry only because it means that I have an endless supply for myself and people won't have to buy it for me. No really, I am a sucker for stereotypical gentlemanly gestures. Flowers on a first date, opening doors for me, etc.
You should message me if
You are someone who can dazzle me with intellectual discourse. I am
a complete sapiosexual, so I get turned on by being intellectually
stimulated. Take me to a museum, talk to me about anthropology and
geology, and who knows what will happen!
