I'm a midwestern girl who is loving city life. I love finding good food hidden in odd corners of the city. I can sit in a coffee shop for hours and read a good book. I'm quite independent - I can appreciate going to the movies or even traveling alone. But I also enjoy good times with good people. I'm a busy girl, but I think it's important to stop and smell the roses, or even pick a few!

I've been lucky enough to check a few things off my bucket list. I'm proud to have completed my first half ironman. I survived jumping (I was actually pushed) off a plane thousands of miles from the ground. I've completed some professional certifications, as well as leisure ones, like getting my scuba license. I climbed to the top of Kilimanjaro, although barely made it to the bottom; hiked the Inca Trail, traveled to New Zealand and to Turkey. Even with all that, my bucket list seems to get longer. Every time I cross one thing off, I seem to add another two to it. But I guess that's what makes for an exciting life.

Driving and parallel parking. I don't care what anyone says.

Enjoying where I am. I would like to be able to say, "there is no other place I'd rather be at this moment" at almost any given time.

I smile almost constantly. People also say I have a good sense of humor. I guess it's nice to make people laugh even when you don't mean to...

Books-Anything by David Eggers or Augusten Burroughs, Helter Skelter, Kite Runner. I'm really all over the place. The last book I read was "Blood River" which is Tim Butcher's account of his travels through the Congo.

Movies-I enjoy watching movies but can't think of too many favorites.

Shows-Arrested Development, Dexter, Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, Modern Family, The League, Archer, Flight of the Conchords, The New Girl, Tosh.O, Bill Mahr, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Law and Order SVU (I had to take a break from that one, it was causing me to have nightmares).

Music-Mumford and Sons, Ray Lamontagne, Adele, Neil Young, Citizen Cope, Florence and the Machine, The Black Keys, Eddie Vedder. I'm a sucker for any live music.

Fresh air, chocolate, running shoes, music, my bike, & obviously all the people in my life that I love.

What I'm going to do next and what I should be doing now. My next vacation.

If I'm not working, going out with friends or just staying in. It seems like I always have to get up early on Saturdays for work or triathlon training.

I squeeze my toothpaste tube in the middle.
