I read fiction, the New Yorker, NYTimes and more. I travel often. Art openings keep me enjoyably busy and working in education allows me more vacation than most.

I'm partial to Delfina's Pizzaria over the more proper haunt next door and Bi Rite creamery has the most delicious ginger ice cream I've ever tasted. Vietnam still has my attention, even after three visits. Ft Funston is amazing.

A few things I enjoy:
Denis Johnson, Maya Lin, "August Osage County", and "Best of Youth". Wearing levis and sun dresses, not at the same time. Squishing my toes in warm mud. Stomping in puddles. A delicate glass of good red wine. Barbara Gowdy is my style.

I'm the kind of girl who has name embossed stationary for thank you notes, a small collection of fly ties with a dusty fly rod, and a tight stitch scar from walking barefoot on a hidden sharp object. My shots are up to date.

I’m more swift in water than out, rivers, pools, creeks, and oceans stir me. Having three brothers has made me a little rough and tumble but my closet is full of pencil skirts and even a few ruffles. I’m passionate about my family, friends, and consider myself engaged with the world around me. I enjoy building up people, not tearing them down.

Good manners are with me but I can, at times, have a wicked sense of humor. Teasing is a skill where I come from and an important form of affection. The written word inspires me daily and I love what I do for a living.

I'm looking for A Man with a healthy curiosity about the world and tenderness for those he cares about (as well as total strangers). A good story teller is much appreciated. Someone who enjoys spontaneity on occasion, creative impulses a major plus. A Man easily inspired who doesn't take it all too seriously, who laughs often and with little effort. Integrity and a hungry mind are essential. A generous heart. I'm a sucker for charm and a good teaser... Brains.

I work for an art school after leaving the book industry. Its pretty fantastic and I'm continually surprised and inspired by the students and faculty there.
