My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm one swell guy looking for anther to connect with. I'm a thinker. A romantic. (Sometimes I find it challenging to turn the volume down on both of those qualities.) I also have a goofy sense of humor (so I have been told) and and like to spend time with the people who make me smile.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I run (often), work (too much), cook (not often enough), play piano (poorly), and watch CNN (probably more than I should). ...and you?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Dancing, cooking, entertaining, running, kissing and spooning (or so I have told), my job, admiring George Clooney from afar, quoting lyrics and pulling obscure cultural reference out of thin air. I also make a mean espresso drink.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never asked anyone. Why don't you tell me? What did you first notice?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read an awful for work, so time to read for my own entertainment is always an indulgent pleasure for me. Lately, I've been reading a lot of political books ("Game Change," "The Promise.") I read The Times, CNN, HuffPo and regularly (I love my iPad.) ...TV: CNN, "The Daily Show," "Cobert Report," TCM, AMC, NY1 in the mornings. ...I go to the movies a lot. Tend to prefer the flicks at The Angelika, Landmark Sunshine, The Paris, BAM Rose Cinema, NY Film Society, etc. ....Music: I have very eclectic music interests. My iPod's playlists are all over the place! Let's discuss over coffee sometime. ...Food: If I crave it I eat it, otherwise, I try to keep it pretty healthy. I could eat Sushi every day. Ditto for ice cream, but since that is not a good idea (see above about trying to keep it healthy), I make my own frozen yogurt instead. It's safer that way.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends
My iPad
My piano
My kitchen
My optimism (Jadedness is fun for a one-liner, but who wants to live that way?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...why George Clooney hasn't introduced me to his mother yet. (Well, I told you I was an optimist.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends. Dinner, theatre, movie. Or at home cooking for
friends and watching a bad, kitchy flick on TV. (Bad movies ...a guilty pleasure.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have the theme songs from "Angie," "Maude," and "Wonder
Woman" on my iPod's running playlist. (There are plenty of other
embarrassing tracks on their too, but you'll have to ask me over
coffee.)
