My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Left to my own devices, I swing from extremely social to relatively introverted on about a six-monthly basis, but am comfortable being either.
I am historically geeky but not to the exclusion of other activities, which include: pubs, bars or meals with friends, plays, board and card games, playing football and sometimes other sports, watching comedy, reading graphic novels and actual books.
I have a dry sense of humour (read sarcastic). I enjoy both passionate conversation and witty interjections. I love to meet interesting people.
I am not very bothered by my appearance but am pretty sure I look worse with no facial hair than with some. I am willing to make more effort when someone else cares.
I normally do not sound so self-centred.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a Primary school teacher because I love moments of dawning comprehension. Also because I was bored with just Physics (my degree) and wanted to know less about more stuff. I'm not going abroad as much as I would like or as much as I did in the past.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
What a self-aggrandizing section.
Maths, science, winning arguments or discussions through semantics but not necessarily reason. Reasoning. Perfectionism, except when it comes to myself. Sounding like I know what I'm talking about when I only kind of do. Admitting I didn't know as much as I sounded like I did. Strategy in games, but not life. Telling the truth. Forgetting things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
No idea. I'll ask you if we meet.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
All graphic novels, all-time favourite is the Preacher series by Garth Ennis. Books by Ian M Banks, Pratchett, Nick Harkaway, anything sci-fi or fantasy, most things fiction. Calvin and Hobbes, Game of Thrones (not the tv series), the occasional piece of serious literature (Dickens etc.) so I can feel more cultured.
Don't watch much TV, basically I stick to football (highlights only, whole matches are too boring) and satire. Also Radio 4 stuff.
I like films but find it next to impossible to justify the time in advance in case they're awful.
Everyone's eclectic when it comes to music these days. I listen to old and new rock, hiphop, dance, classical, blues and some drum and bass. Mostly. Scroobius Pip has been my most noticeable new(ish) artist due to the incredible lyrical content on his first album.
I eat all food but, outside British, have the most experience with Indian/Vietnamese/Korean, I grew up partially in those countries.
Just in case you care, my favourite board games are Agricola, Medici and Amun Re. If you even know what one of those is, we should meet up! Also like computer games.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Interesting people, woods with rivers in, computers/the interweb, satire, football, games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Gaming the system (theoretically), stuff that will be interesting to teach, people.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out for drinks or dinner, at a friends for board games, working so I don't have to over the weekend, shattered at home, just visiting people

One of the more unique things I said struck a chord with you. Or you are interested in conversing about the world. Or you like board games.
