My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm going to take a departure from most of the profiles you read and fast forward past the list of adjectives and vague hobbies which everyone enjoys. While I'm at it, I'll spare you from the shirtless bathroom mirror. Sorry to disappoint!

Now on to the important stuff... I grew up on Long Island and somehow escaped without an accent. I've been in NYC for about 9 years slowly making my way closer and closer to Manhattan but I think I've found my spot here in Williamsburg. Don't let the glasses and lack of a clean shave fool you, I'm not a real hipster, thought it seems like everyone has a little hipster in them lately. Frankly, I shower far too often and wasn't listening to the Black Keys (or current popular indie rock band here) before they were cool.

I'm always up for adventures, life is too short not to be interesting.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm tired of defining myself by a job. I have a great career and am very lucky to be able to do what I do, but it's only part of the story. While I'm ambitious by any definition, I try to keep it in perspective and know how to have fun and constantly work on becoming a better person. My goal is to not live life like a mindless zombie with the same routine everyday.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Telling stories. It's a bit of a lost art, and I'm guilty of going along with ridiculous capers to get a good story out of it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I'm with my dog, it's him. He seems to be pretty popular around these parts.

Music: The one new years resolution I kept was to continue to find new bands to listen to. Depending on my mood it could really be anything from Hip-Hop to Motown to the Classics to New Stuff. Currently stuck on some old Arcade Fire. Phoenix, Passion Pit, Fun., Foster the People, The Kooks, Young the Giant, M83, Atlas Genius, The Airborne Toxic Event, Walk the Moon, The Wombats, Miike Snow, Cage The Elephant, etc, etc, etc. Still love the classics, Pink Floyd, the Who, The Police, Neil Young.

Movies: I'm a guy, so clearly I like Scarface. Will Ferrell & Vince Vaughn movies when I need something brainless, who doesn't love Wedding Crashers?

Shows: I definitely watch more movies than shows. I just don't have the patience to follow episodic TV programs, although I'm obsessed with True Detectives and I can't wait for more Game of Thrones. Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Family Guy, literally anything that's on the Science or History Channels.

Food: I definitely keep it healthy and I love to cook when I have time. . No friends, if you take pictures of food and post them on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc, it doesn't make you Anthony Bourdain. Pound for Pound, I have to say Brooklyn has some of the best restaurants around. Feel free to challenge me on this one.

Books: I need a recommendation for something new - thoughts?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Music - it just makes everything better.
2. Tattoos - A little bit obsessed right now...
3. The Gym - I'm a gym rat, 6 days a week, no jersey shore meathead stuff, just being fit. It's my time to put everything else aside and get re-centered. If you don't take care of your body, we probably won't be a great match.
4. My puppy - he's super rad, if you're lucky you'll get to meet him, if he likes you, you're in.
5. My iPhone - Candy Crush may be the death of me.
6. Lazy Sundays - self-explanatory.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my next adventure will be. Which concert I should go see next. Why the hell do women read 50 shades of grey on the subway.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
No such thing as typical - this is New York City after all.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're passionate, and know what you want from life. You love laughing, going on adventures and generally having a ridiculously good time! You're able to carry a conversation and something interesting to say. Attraction is one thing, if you don't have anything to say we won't have much fun together. Fitness is also a really important part of my life now too, so you should care about living a healthy lifestyle (eating well, working out, caring about how you look and feel). If think we'd make good partners-in-crime email me and lets meet up!

The fine print...
You're either from the greater NYC area or don't mind coming to Brooklyn on a regular basis. You love dogs as my roommate is a lovable French Bulldog! And no, you can't date my him, that's just weird.
