Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved back to San Diego in 2014 and picked up a job rather
quickly. After 10 months, I decided it wasn't a good fit for me so
I quit, am de-stressing, and interviewing for a new position. I'm
enjoying the mini vacation at the moment and getting my focus
re-centered. I've picked running back up which has been helpful
with the re-centering. That doesn't mean I am not an ambitious,
self-reliant person. Sometimes stopping to enjoy life is the right
thing to do. No one dies wishing they spent more time at
barefoot > slippas > shoes

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I went over board for a couple years and did nothing but soccer in
my free time. After suffering a concussion which sidelined me for
over 9 weeks I realized how difficult it was when my whole life
outside of work was soccer. I'm trying to find a balance with other
pro-social activities now :) And I'm not supposed to play anymore
so if anyone wants to just kick the ball around, I would be very
happy to do so.
I moved back to Southern California from Sacramento in 2014
I've been an accountant since during college and it's what my
Bachelor's degree is in.
I'm going to throw this in here so as to save the hassel of wasted
efforts/time: I want kids. I'm not about to go hop on a strangers
lap for them and my life won't be horrible if I don't end up having
any but if you dislike kids or have no interest in having any, I'm
not the person for you.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can sleep anywhere. I also pick up sports relatively quickly.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically, my hair.
I've been told I come across as shy, but I'm not. I people watch
and figure them out first. Or sometimes I just don't like you.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
-Jane Eyre (favorite book since 8th grade)
-Ender's Game (favorite book since college)
And everything in between. Sometimes I just want to read something
that'll take my brain somewhere else for a while.
I like a lot of different styles. I'm equally at home with a beer
at a Country concert, in a pit getting sweated on while Rancid or
Tiger Army play, or attending a symphony/orchestra/Opera. I'm in a
bit of a music funk right now and could use suggestions.
Pretty much everything but seafood since I wasn't raised on it.
I'll eat Hamachi and Ahi but I'm still developing a palate for most
of it. I don't eat a lot of meat although sometimes all I want in
life is a steak.
I'll gladly trade all my mushrooms and olives for your onions
I tend towards SciFi/Fantasy such as The Fifth Element or Firefly.
And of course Adventure Time because it is brilliant. I don't watch
a lot of TV though.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Laughter, friends & family, my nalgene (i carry it everywhere),
a hairtie, slippas, and a book
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Am I being the best version of myself? Am I being authentic?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinking a beer after a run.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm quicker to speak up for someone else than I am for myself
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you can hold silly conversations as well as serious
conversations. A sense of humor is important to me but it's
imperative to know when is the time for silly and when is the time
for serious. I prefer to surround myself with people who speak
honestly and follow through on their words. If you have strength of
character, I would enjoy speaking with you.
