My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The bullet points on my personality is that I love music & playing guitar, one of my favorite things is comedy/making people laugh, and I'm just looking for someone to spend time with & hopefully have a connection with. I have a semi high pitched giggle when I find something truly funny, I'm often making jokes (and observations that I hope to be short enough to fit in a Twitter feed), and I am fairly opinionated yet incredibly open-minded & accepting. My ideal date is a girl & I chatting over drinks or coffee for around an hour while we figure out if we are compatible.

If my face seemed nice enough to click on, why not send a message? I'd rather make a silly attempt to outline my quirks there than here. (Though I'm certainly about to attempt to do so.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just moved back to Austin after a 2 year sabbatical to Washington State. Living in downtown Seattle was cool both figuratively and literally, but legal weed was not worth carrying around an umbrella and constantly worrying about whether my feet were dry.

I literally always forget that there are some people who would put things about a job or career here. Like most people in America I work mediocre jobs that aren't worth talking about much. If you're that interested, I do clerical/accounting work in offices, and have done so pretty much always. Wasn't that interesting? (Nope.)

Also, since it seems semi relevant - I quit smoking cold turkey recently. Not exactly on New Years but close enough to feel like a cliche. But it's not too terribly hard. Every day without smoke in your lungs is its own reward :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing guitar, producing / analyzing music (as well as other things). Making convoluted jokes, writing jokes in general, and finding the connections / humor / inherent irony in things. Being generally self deprecating. Playing devil's advocate. Driving awkwardly yet effectively. Making eggs whenever I've been drinking. Menial tasks. Being what i call "bargain basement handsome."
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People seem to like my hair? I like my eyes, but they annoy me for not picking a color. Oh yeah, there's non physical things to talk about too...I'm generally trying to make people laugh, because I sortaaaa don't think stories/thoughts are even worth telling if they aren't entertaining.

This might not be the "fist thing", but I've been told that I often look distinctively goofy on my feet. Think Andy Dwyer from Parks & Recreation. If you don't watch that show...well, it's quite enjoyable.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Guitar, Iphone full of music & podcasts, Notepad for writing down things, Macbook...Oh, and video games - or, at the very least, Pokemon to play on long trips.

(What podcasts? Comedy Bang Bang, Cashing In With TJ Miller, Improv4Humans, You Made It Weird, Who Charted, Skeptic Tank, U Talkin U2 To Me, Doug Loves Movies, Never Not Funny, Hollywood Handbook, and last but literally the OPPOSITE of least...HOW DID THIS GET MADE.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Music/songs, humor/jokes, irony & hypocrisy, society, sexuality, politics, being/feeling certain ways &thinking about why exactly I do
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't go out often, but I love doing it if I have a companion. Clubs are not my thing (I like dancing a ton tho), but bars are great if we can hear each other talk! Im just not the type to try to "pick up" someone AT a bar, or a concert, or the like; I honestly do not quite understand how that is even done...thus OkCupid :P
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I always feel like a humongous creep even clicking on a girl's OkCupid Page; the worst part is definitely when i inevitably have to click "photos." I just feel like a real weirdo checking out girls without them knowing or giving any sort of permission; that's probably why I literally only date online. (If you can call it that.)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you want to have an actual conversation. About anything, really. If you found me at all cute or interesting, if you have a unique or quirky sense of humor/outlook on life...I mostly just like people who dont take themselves too seriously. Love making jokes and goofing around.

"so, what are you looking for?"

Lots of people like to ask this on OkCupid. I myself recognize that this is a dating website. So, to elaborate on my earlier point: I am looking to "date." But this encompasses anything from casual hangouts, lunches, movies, drinks, et cetera...all the way to nice dinners, caring for each other on a personal level, intimate congress, or even "being a couple." Simply put, if it seems like you might enjoy my company, I'd love to say hi :)
